Fun fact : I’m actually distantly related to the late great Taylor Hawkins! My dad also lived with him when he (my dad ) was stationed at 29 palms in the Marines. Taylor was in 11th grade at the time. My dad said he’d sleep or go to beach all day during the day and drum practice all night

I'm an occasional fan of Foo Fighters, but this song always moves something in me. I had the opportunity to see them in Mexico a couple of weeks before Taylor left. Something broke in me that day, it moved me too much.

This was actually a really creative vocal interpretation of this song and I kind of like it. It's hard to emulate or sound as brutal as Grohl, but this was a totally different approach that also works and is interesting in its own right.

I gotra be honest here Kristina. I haven't watched your videos for 6-8 months for no specific reason. But this video really got me. You've become significantly better since last video I saw you playing. Improved a lot. You play more relaxed, with better groove and feeling and yet put in that amount of energy. Really good. The 1 you just did. My Hero is all drums. It’s the only FF SONG I like/love. Also it was nice hearing you do a song I actually know!!! Taylor Hawkins son did it w/FF’s at a tribute to him. His son was fuckin rockin those drums like he wanted his dad to hear. Very emotional how his dad taught him & he played it better. IMO. It’s on you tube check it out. Kriss you did great as well. I wish you’d do more GNR’s, METALLICA FOR US OLD PPL. WE DONT KNOW WNTER MONKEY OR SOME OTHER STUFF YOU DO. I KEEP MY SUB TO YOU HOPING YOY WILL DO MORE OLDER STUFF FOR US. THIS WAS A GREAT START.
