Never understood why playing bass with a pick is deemed "bad." Why limit yourself? Quailty covers as always! Maybe cover some Between the Buried and Me? :P

I don't do it as it's a more treble-y tone, and doesn't feel right. I typically only use a pick if it sounds better with the source material, and it's often dubbed as bad because it wasn't meant to be played that way, like bowing a guitar.

Part of the reason is because pick is less applicable for most genres because it’s so aggressive. Another is because it’s a way to differentiate bassist from guitarist. Personally I don’t like using picks because it feels sluggish compared to my plucking. Regardless, picks are a powerful tool that every bass player should learn how to use

Man, this is the first Bass song I have tried to play other than Holy Diver in 12 year on Bass. I got rid of my old bass and stayed with guitar only for 34 years. But this was pretty cool to get going on again and get your hand movin. I didn't notice some triple notes being hit when the tabs were saying doubles. But hell, it was easy enough to follow. Thanks for the work out! I'm enjoying my new bass I put together.

foo fighters is my favorite band. it's such a shame that their bass lines are usually so boring, like it's not bad and serves the song but it does'nt have much flare. and i get that trying to be heard as the low end with 3 guitars playing over you is down right hopeless but when usually those guitars usually play simple power chords it's usually the bass that could give some flair to those moments.
