Hawkins also had sleep apnea, a heart twice the size of a normal man! He had major anxiety before a show…the meds they found DID NOT cause his death..had not done heroin since his overdose in 2001..the meds were all prescribed except the cannabis….he knew about his heart for over a year..he played a 4 hr set two days before and the doctor said he might have suffered from altitude sickness from being high up in Columbia…which possibly led to a coronary collapse …he had a “runner’s” heart…toxicology tests take weeks not the next day for results…leave him alone…makes me 🤢 sick

Oh no, here comes the brain dead conspiracies. People desperately need to act like they've found these hidden truths. If you are really trying to claim that someone from his band or the label had him killed then you have actual brain rot. Not everything is some Illuminati conspiracy. And acting that way literally belittles reality. lol He was an aging drummer, overworking himself, with an enlarged heart and being stressed out. You have to take inconsideration before Foo Fighters went to South America. They did a once off concert in Geelong in Victoria Australia (Melbourne is capital city). The concert was 4th March 2022. Taylor passed 25 March 2022. That are very long flights, he may have developed blood clots. Going on just memory they were only in Australia for 48 hours. Flights from LAX to Melbourne 14hours, more from East Coast; 17 plus hours flying to South America or over 20 hours to Europe each way.

I will say this, I too have passed out one time in my early 20s from playing back to back shows/practice. Just had this odd white noise sound in my head and I timbered to the floor, the impact woke me right up instantly and my friends were all around me making sure I was okay. Went to get a full checkup at the doctor and while everything was fine, he expressed that I take a lot of rest in between playing. 20 years later and thankfully it has never happened again. Drums are really a different beast than other instruments.

Taylor _was_ quitting the Foo Fighters after this tour. This was confirmed by all of his close friends, including drummer for RHCP, who felt the need to come forward and speak up for their friend, attempting to correct a fluff publicity piece in Rolling Stone that painted Taylor’s death as drug related, and made Grohl the “victim” of yet another death of a band mate he was feuding with. Why do you think Taylor had so many side projects? He was unhappy, overworked, underappreciated, his health and wellbeing trampled over - literally being worked to death in the middle of a pandemic. Look how quickly he was replaced. Stop falling for Grohl’s PR. He destroys everything he touches. FYI, Taylor died during the Omicron surge from Jan to March 2022 that killed tens of thousands of Americans. It’s very likely he got COVID, and it’s insane the authorities aren’t releasing his COVID test results or anything about his autopsy.

Losing their loved one is bad enough without pieces like this doing the rounds of KZbin etc for all to see. It’s all about the $$$

I think this band that is new and favorite of mine, Black Pumas, opened for them because they were in S. America at the time and started very late and came on about the death of Hawkins. This band was touring extensively as well and in the fall had to cancel engagements and go off the road as they were totally burned out. They were able to do that and took a year off to rest and regroup as well as finish their 2nd album. They were lucky in that they could do this and r & r. It's possible I could have missed some things, I was a maniac on google checking for anything that was reported about that night. I remember that report of white powder, but a few days later it was reported that that wasn't true. Plus, Taylor didn't drink or even use marajuana before performing because it messed up his timing and he never wanted to play anything less than his best. Grass and alcohol (and anything else) ruined his playing he has said. Also, the urine test will show what WAS in his system and already metabolized. There is no way to tell what was actually in his system without a blood test, the coroner said. The coroner never stated what caused his heart attack, said that needed the blood test. His heart weighing double that of a normal heart along with the altitude (coroner never commented on the size, just the weight - Taylor's doctor is the one who said his heart was enlarged) was certainly a major factor. And didn't he call down to the desk with chest pains?

You don't know this person. None of us do. The Mairjuana is almost irrelivant. It can stay in your sysyem for days, even weeks, and for sure didn't contribute to his death in comparison to other substances. Addicts, even when they gets years of sobriety, are still addicts. They can flip that switch in an instant. And stress would be on of the, if not the biggest factors for a relapse. There are countless addicts, who sadly got clean, only to relapse and OD. @@2410-s9l This is simply not true. lol Far more people died of the actual virus than vaccinated people, and its not even close. Its scary how you can point to a few extreme edge cases and act like it was the norm. EVERY vaccine has a risk associated with it. It's why you have to sign papers before you get it. But to act like people were dropping left and right after getting vaccinated is actually brain dead. I feel bad for people who fall for fear mongering nonsense so easily, lacking the basic ability to critically think. I had 2 family members pass from the virus before there were vaccines. Everyone in my family got the vaccines because of the death of our family members. Not one dies from a vaccine. Stop being led by fear and ignorance, yet thinking you know the actual truths of everything. It's literal brain rot.

Had tickets for tonight's show in London. Taylor was my favourite band member too.... My brother early 40 died whilst on holiday only thing we've been told was enlarged heart.... Taylor then passes away about a month after that, and I didn't want to go to tonight's concert so sold my ticket a few days ago. I just wasn't 'feeling it' and I knew I wouldn't enjoy it without my favourite band member being on stage.

Regardless of what is said his heart disease was severe and in my medical opinion the cocktail of medication for a very talented drummer to get rest for the next night was unperfect timing. I don’t think Taylor would have had a lot more time with his heart disease but if he wasn’t touring this disaster wouldn’t have happened when it did. All the warning signs were there and ignored which is sad. RIP Taylor.

Yes Taylor overdosed on Heroin in 2001. But when Kurt overdosed in Rome, it was on a benzodiazepine that’s only legal in Europe that internationally is known as the Date-Rape drug, called Rohypnol. Most benzodiazepines are legal in America, but that one in particular is too potent and used for drugging people, especially women. It’s prescribed in Europe for women dealing with post pregnancy issues as well as heroin and alcohol detox.
@SpookMrsSpooky

Valium is a benzodiazepine. They probably have other (mis)uses, but it would make sense Taylor could take it for the anxiety and stage fright. it's presence in his urine meant he took it at some point during the pas few days, but doesn't mean he had a lethal dose. I think if the medications had anything to do with his collapse it would have been an unwise combination. Who knows if those things were prescribed, one doesn't get high on antidepressants. It would make sense if he was taking them, seeing as he wanted a lighter schedule and obviously didm't get it. :(

@@isonation. Insomnia, almost certainly. We can't know though. Need a blood panel to tell for sure if he had a lethal amount of anything in his system when he passed. The pathologist who performed the autopsy explicitly said that. He also said because of the condition of his heart (enlarged and/or abnormally heavy), this could have happened even without the presence of those medications. The preliminary tox screen which is the urine test will pick up anything he might have taken in the last week. Only the blood test results would tell us what could have caused the cardiovascular collapse, if it was the medications or just the state of his heart, and that has not been released.
