I first heard this when I was driving. It did things to me like other songs never did. At least not in the past 40 years. I emailed the station managers and mentioned every word I could remember. He wrote back, "These Days?" I played it and said YES!

I think Foo Fighters deserve to be considered true successors of rock 'n roll. To me, they've been a true rock 'n roll band from the start. They're like the sons of folks like Zeppelin or The Who, esp. since they grew up listening to them and in their own music have taken rock 'n roll music in stride, continuing the legacy and in their own style. They're the face of rock 'n roll today. FF is that great to me. (And Dave Grohl WILL have a statue of gold someday, if I have to build it myself!)

Dave Grohl bought the house across the street from where I grew up, in the early 90's. I was in college then, and my Mom told me the drummer from Nirvana had moved into the house across the street. I was like okay, whatever. Ann Wilson from Heart lived up the road not too far, I remember my Brother telling my parents "You guys live on Rock Star Row." I left Seattle 20 years ago, I guess I grew up in a rich neighborhood but I never realized it at the time. I just thought I lived in a big old house about a mile from the ghetto.
