This simultaneously one of the Foo's most underrated songs and most underrated music videos. They have had so many classics in both regards but this one gets overlooked sadly. God, the X-Files soundtracks were so excellent! I listened to them both constantly when they were relatively fresh out and I was a young'n. They definitely heavily influenced my taste in music, and I can't express enough gratitude to chance/coincidence/the universe that they did! I would have missed out on so much that has brought me a huge amount of joy in my life. A good song speaks directly to a person's soul, and answers questions that they never even knew to ask. The right song at the right moment to the right person can give them so much. So much amazing music being put on a daily basis these days, but the bands that I was obsessed with back then are still the bands that I adore today. I love everyone who is here in this comment section (I mean, I love EVERYONE in general, but you folk more than even a high average). I hope you and all the people you love are doing well, and are staying safe, happy and healthy! I hope that all of you find everything in this life that you're looking for.

I always loved this song because it helped me through a pretty messy and ugly relationship, coming back to it now 5 years on I'm so glad I can see an hear this master piece for what it truly is because now I can finally say I've the found love I was always searching for. ❤️ we love you Foo Fighters 🤘🏻

I'm glad Dave managed to make a career for himself after nirvana. I bet he didn't want to let Kurt's death stop him from quitting music. I know some people say they just preferred him on the drums but I think he really is a good singer writer. I hate that some people compare him to kurt. He's his own person and musician.

My brother just came over and had asked me what’s my favorite FF song, I told him “Everlong” and asked if I ever listened to this song. He put the music video on. I asked him if he ever listens to the whole album of a favorite song from an artist (in general), he said not really. I explained to him that this album is just gold, but thinking about it now yes Everlong is an amazing song and will always be one of my fav FF songs, but I have never appreciated this song as much as I do as of today. Also, relating to this situation and loving someone so damn much, but they didn’t feel the same in return and ended things even after trying to make things work, after 6 years. Yes, those kind of heartbreaks are the ones you can’t even bare towards the beginning of an ending, but over time you’ll realize you definitely did deserve so much more and slowly heal. And listening to this song and appreciating it 100x more now is so bittersweet. Fucking amazing and brilliant art form of a song. Can listen to it all day ❤️

We love you Taylor. The whole world is shocked and devastated. You will be missed more than you could have ever realized. I’m literally crying listening to this song. One of their best songs imo. I used to listen to this in my little Fiero that I had in the 90’s blasting this song thinking about my crush that didn’t work out. Taylor….wish you could’ve stayed. Rest easy and thank you for the music and the laughter. Thank you for giving us your gift. 😢😔♥️💔
