Hi Stacey xx could I please ask a quick question? 😊 I've just signed up with Doncaster Deaf free level 1,but I was already learning BSL with Charlie on KZbin just discovered Commanding hands ,some signs are slightly different, without seeing my course yet ,can you give me any guidance ? For instance for 'meat' Dan uses his index finger to point to neck ,Charlie uses thumb xxxxx

@@markonlife I passed BSL level 1 last year and just finished the pre level 2. It's at the local college. Even though I knew a little sign, I would suggest going in at level 1, just for the hand shapes etc. I probably signed with a lisp before I did the courses ha ha

@@devonmoon5016 BSL has a lot of regional variations. It can be confusing at first but good to expose yourself to the variations so you're aware of them. I also used the Doncaster course to learn from even though I'm trying to use London regional signs in general.

Hi I am slightly confused as I am just starting to learn bsl and have been informed to sign with predominantly your dominant hand, mine being right so when I saw you sign Peanut Butter it looked like you signed the letter P for pea with your left hand not your right is there any reason for this? By the way I have enjoyed and downloaded most of your videos.
@andreacrumlish99764 жыл бұрын
for things like the letter p, im sure it wont matter because that has both leftie and rightie signs. sometimes i sign things left handed instead because its more comfortable for me. maybe its more comfortable for him, so im sure its nothing... if it changes for a reason, im sure who ever you are having convo. with will understand anyway as it kinda mirror images it instead lol.
