I read an interview with Smosh where they said that they sometimes work 20 hour days trying to get videos just right. Trying to make the best possible videos. You may not feel that this was the best Food Battle, but they're definitely trying hard. Maybe they need a break? Who knows. But it's not like they're coasting on their success.

I personally think that they waste their times on unnecessary excessive shows such as Smosh Games, which they are very active on, spend lots of time editing, but they don't seem like they're the best gamers or funniest at gaming in the world. Yeah I feel they might have been lacking inspiration for the Food Battles, but still realized they needed to make a new one or else the sensitive fans would rage. If they need new ideas and jokes, then I can understand because they've used the greatest jokes up for so many years. Every channel reaches its breaking point, and I fear theirs might be near.

The reason why alot of people don't like this years food battle is because all the "old school" watchers that have seen all the other ones are becoming older. When you grow up you become more mature and your sense of humor changes. This has nothing with how Smosh has become "lazy". If you were younger (like 10-12 y/o) I bet that you would have found this video just as funny as the previous ones. I'm sorry to break it to you, but we all have to grow up sometime and start watching those boring comedies we never liked as a kid. Thanks :-)
