So thankful for you to try a vegan lifestyle! I'm a vegan myself and I was so happy to see you trying it too but I feel like a lot of people only focus on the health aspects of veganism while the minority of vegans have changed their eating habits for ethical reasons. We don't want to support any animal cruelty and we want every animal to live a happy life without any pain or death commited by humans. Sure veganism does contain a lot of plant based food which is good for our body but please don't forget the fact that animals lose their lives for us to enjoy our meal like 3 times a day for maybe 20 minutes. Still sooo proud of you and everybody else for pushing through and trying out new stuff :)♥

@@мктєє I’m so happy and proud of you!!🥰I think you should definitely take your time to figure out what works for you. Once you get into it it’s really not hard and it’s just a regular lifestyle but i think it could be a little difficult for beginners. Try out some plant milk and find out what suits you the best because there are so many to choose from. Also if you miss the taste of meat you can find substitutes at probably almost any store. For dough you can substitute eggs with chia seeds or mashed banana which also gives it a lot of sweetness. I started using nutritional yeast after a few months and i love it and i literally put it on every meal. It has this kind of cheesy flavor and it also has a lot of protein. I used to always stick to meals that i knew were vegan like avocado or peanut butter toast but after eating it for months straight i got sick of it haha. Feel free to search for some meal ideas on social media. There’s plenty of vegan influencers on instagram that i love to watch when i feel like trying out new stuff. There are alternatives for every non vegan food so you don’t have to miss out on anything. After all you’re on your own journey so take your time. It’s gonna get easier to know how to handle it the longer and the more you inform yourself. Wish you the best ✨

Mostly agree. But I can't eat any processed stuff, Gluten intolerance also no Soy, some nuts, sun flower oil and Tofu because I suffer from really bad migraines if I eat stuff like that. So I eat 80 percent Vegan and 20 percent Pescetarian because I need some protein and no I can not eat beans and chickpeas. Especially canned stuff. It's annoying but you also have to understand people like me who have problems going fully plant based. I would never get enough calories and yes I suffered from anorexia once because of that.

i was vegan for over a year but i had to go back to eating whatever i wanted (though trying to stay healthy), because i think restricting my diet so heavily was causing more toxic thoughts about food... i still prefer to eat mostly plant foods (especially cutting out a lot of dairy bc it gives me acne 😭), but i think having the freedom to occasionally eat ~non vegan~ stuff has helped me chill out a lot 🥺 i’m proud of you regardless of what you label yourself as 🪴

And now I'm thinking of eating whatever I want too! and without labeling myself (but also taking care of my health). No one asked, but wanted to say it... 🥺

Mashed chickpeas w sriracha mayo (also old bay if you have it) does a good job mimicking canned tuna. Sometimes I like to make sushi rolls with it :)

Hi there, Zoe! I went completely vegan for one year of my life and, in the country that I live in, it's really difficult to be fully vegan and still being satisfied. I mean, you can of course be vegan, but you just can't eat out of home and, still, your options are not so many. No treats, no substitutes... So I decided to go veggie instead of vegan after one year and, just that, was such a huge difference. I still think that going vegan is better, but this is something that I'm more comfortable and satisfied with. I can eat out, I can treat myself and, you know what? I felt such a failure in veganism but I've recently come to realize (after years of vegetarianism) that, as long as you have a compromise with what this means and your health, any effort counts! You don't have to put a label on yourself and never eat certain foods again. You can try to eat the most plant based possible while being at home and maybe eating other foods whenever you miss them or when you're going out with friends, for example. This is actually difficult because people judge each other so quickly, but, if you let it sink in you brain, you suddenly realize that it's better to try your best and not be fully vegan than to not do anything just because you think you might fail. Anyways, I'm glad to know that the challenge helped you and I hope that you keep updating us on this! As always, remember that our health (both physical and mental) is very important, and you should never do something that you're not completely sure of wanting to do. I do consider these kinds of choices are important (for health, environment and animals) but we should never forget to keep ourselves satisfied and happy. This is already too long, so imma say bye, but, first, thank you for your videos and your inspiration! See you in your next one!

It's good you don't limit yourself to labels. I used to be 100% plant-based vegan but my health did get really bad despite taking supplements. It wasn't for me. I wish I could since I don't even eat animal products to begin with but my doctor let me know that biologically we do need meat; we have canine teeth for that reason. Iron found in veggies is not the same iron found in animal protein (which is why I became anemic). Also vitamin b12 and other things. I still eat plant based but do eat chicken, fish, and beef maybe twice a week to restore my health. So far my period came back and I do have more energy. EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT. I'm glad you're not feeling pressured to conform to a label and do what works for you. :)

I think vegetarian is pretty simple, bc u can find food options without meat everywhere, but not quite without eggs or milk. Overall reducing animal products consumption is a slow process and every step is important:)

I’m really considering becoming at least a vegetarian, but I feel like I have to heal my relationship with food a little more before cutting out a certain food group. I just don’t want to be so fearful or guilty for eating and think of food as nourishment for my body instead.

i know how you feel with the social aspect, my family and i became “vegans” (90% vegan, 10% vegetarians) and i thought that it’ll be hard once quarantine is over because i’ll hang out with my friends to restaurants or places that doesn’t have vegan options but tbh it wasn’t that hard, at the beginning of this month some friends and i went to this mexican restaurant (with masks and hand sanitizers 😷) and one of them told me that they had vegetarian options but i didn’t eat there because earlier that day i ate foods that i knew would keep me full for a long time and i just ordered a glass of water 💓 (and it was free!) also i think that the fact that i do intermittent fasting helped me

Just some quick tips on bloating: don't put your legs up, either keep them down or keep them crisscrossed, sit in a chair with a back that goes up far enough that you can comfortable lean, and drink water before you eat, not while you're eating or after 💕

You may want to try another milk substitute. Oat milk makes me horribly gassy. I liked flax or coconut milk for my tummy lol. Great vid!
