I like the interesting dynamic that he took. He became the thoughtless yelling angry person he hated because he didn't receive what he wanted and he didn't take the time to think about what to say first. I think that this actually gives us some food for thought in how we address ourselves (and others) in politics. It doesn't really matter what political group you belong to because the most important parts are the dialogues and compromises. Also, being in a political group is just that... identifying yourself with a certain group. If that matters more than bringing the national debt down or making sure that we can provide food for everyone, then we have bigger issues to deal with in our future.

teh y In response to your point, I would argue that these people don't make caricatures of your arguments because they are feminists, it's because they are assholes. Although some feminists do lack the maturity to have a proper argument, feminism isn't the cause of this. If these people didn't have feminism, they would have another important issue/ social movement that they exploit to exert their own hatred. Feminism is simply a vessel for these people to spread hatred, and so I don't think feminism should be abandoned, but the small group of people within this social movement that use it to spread hatred should be abandoned. I think it is a responsibility of the feminist community to shame people who are using their platform to spread hate and tarnish the once good reputation that feminism had. Wow... Fantastic work, Neel and co. I've taken a few minutes to decipher this one... Both sides of politics are hypocritical and morally corrupt, despite their best intentions to look after their own "people" - except for the libertarian alternative, by which seeks to protect no one, hence why the actors had died. The libertarian alternative was a sample that was against the fundamental idea of sampling, much like how libertarianism is fundamentally against the idea of government intervention. The protagonist, assumedly Neel, then breaks down in anger and frustration at what the samples are and what they stand for and how he doesn't like any of them... he yells and rants... He becomes extreme for a split second for not calmly leaving the table and "ordering online" immediately after seeing his options. He was sucked into the performance and he became apart of the samples... Fortunately, he withdrew in self-awareness before anyone could say a word to him... Neel played an interesting role which I've yet to determine... Perhaps the greater will of society? A strange embodiment of the idea of a republic or democratic system? I'm not sure. Anyway, those are my initial thoughts. Fantastic acting, smart, deep... Thought provoking. (EDIT: Added the word "intervention" in regards to describing libertarianism. From "against ... government" to "against... government intervention").

My thought about Neel's role is that he's playing the person new to politics who is still making opinions and is looking at both sides. Wether this is a child or a young adult who's coming up to vote, I think he plays out the struggles of seeing 2 sides of a coin and having to pick one. He can only have one option, so he felt pressured by both sides to pick theirs.

Whilst I am probably a bit more left, I am happy calling myself a centrist. I've had the chance to listen to solid arguments on the right, which have changed my mind on specific issues. Political inclinations for most are on a spectrum. He literally omited libertarian ideas by ignorantly implying that a lack of an imposed health regulation would kill people or make more people die... In reality, in a libertarian world there would be far less people dying from deseases simply because the private sector is much more efficient(and therefore cheaper) than the public sector: people would have to pay less to private health insurances than the fraction of their taxes allocated towards the pathetic imposed public "health security". Even if there was no public corruption, the private sector is more efficient simply because a politician will never manage other's money with the same caution as he manages his own because of the lack of action of survival and fear instincts. It's the human condition. Not to mention that with far less taxes people would have more control over their resources and therefore more power and confidence, which inevitable results in less depression and other mental health problems and consequently less self-destructuve behaviour such as drugs or alcohol addiction. Society would be not only far more free, but also far healthier, wealthier and happier. The only obstacle are psycopath politicians who don't care at all about society and the ignorant and irresponsible people who let them manipulate their feelings against them. The worst part is not that they let them manipulate them, but that the reason they are manipulated is that they accept to steal money and resources from others to get benefit from it. Ultimately the problem is envy, resentment, irresponsibility, selfishness and lack of ethics.

Thank you, I needed this video. People often forget that it this behavior doesn't just come from the left and many of us really need to watch ourselves. We should not just exaggerate the enemy and associate a million things with their words instead of hearing them out and having open discussion. My school is starting a Feminist Club. I had planned on joining just to troll, be condescending, see how long before they kick me out, etc, but this video has inspired me, in a manner of speaking, to attend as someone on the other side of the political field and try to have that respectful, reasonable, and open discussion. I think the point of this video was to emphasize the growing distance between the “center right” and “center left”. Our current political climate is increasingly divisive and everyone is forced to side with an extreme. I consider myself pretty far on the left, but I recognize that we won’t be able to get anything done without compromise. And the painful thing is, it’s pretty hard to see where that compromise will come from when our politicians are all one of the depicted extremes.

But isnt that exactly what politics is all about? You are almost never to get a politician that represents you with all your opinions. And then youre left with not liking any choices you have to an extent that makes you happy. But you almost always like one side better than the other(s). When there is a choice with only so few sides you have to compromise. Clever bit of social commentary there btw :) I like it how you manage to show us a simplified version of the current events (which by itself is difficult enough) in a way that is a metaphorical slap in the face, forcing you to wake up a bit and look around. Thank you.

I don't know, I always hear people calling the right anti-science, but "anti-science" just seems to mean "not agreeing with all liberal ideas about what's scientific and what isn't." Can we talk about the fact that almost everyone who tells the public what "science" says about a particular subject is on the left? It doesn't mean they're automatically wrong, but it does seem like a serious conflict of interest. (And academia these days isn't very tolerant when it comes to diversity of thought or diversity of political leanings.)

Take me for example, I was completely apolitical until 3rd wave feminism started to really gain momentum. Now women act like rabid dogs and bully me over every little thing, and if I speak up they play victim or they tell me I'm mansplaining. There are "no manspreading" signs on NYC subways. This isn't just fringe leftie talk their ideas have passed into laws that govern society. It's fucking crazy. That's why the far right talks about how they need to push back on the far left.
