Try to keep weeds, trees and grass that aren't food out of your garden. #foodforest #garden

I'm a homebody really. I went to Arizona once. I'm a simple guy really. I saw a bird in a parking lot down there. I looked in it's eyes and realized to myself, I'm NOT in Minnesota right now! LOL

Can't imagine how someone who works all the time like you would be able squeeze in gardening too. 👍

The result is only 1/10 of the seeds germinating and half of those dying. I have to try to get through the learning curve while there's still food available.

I started a food forest too. Mine is doing good. Your radish is in too dense of soil. Try to put some coconut coir or perlite to ammend the soil. I set a sprinkler in middle of mine and that was I can just turn it on every day or two.

Thanks for the recommendations I appreciate it very much. Before I got some tiny little radishes. These look hilarious with the red Roots even longer and thicker now. But most likely still nothing under the ground. The top soil I purchased is still too hard even though all the mulch is broke down over the last couple years. I thoroughly tilled it with a hand rake and Spade before planting any seeds. I guess the rain packed it back together

I don't know what to say Cowboy. But Brian Gunderson talks about polycarbonite sheets to filter out all the harmful radiation from the sun and galactic cosmic rays. But who can afford to redesign their raised beds and incorporate the sheets into the design.? Anyway brother, you might want to check that out and do an calculations. We here in western Alberta don't have to worry about those insects because we are getting frost .

It took Brian years to cover the expense and managed to do the labor to build his raised beds and greenhouses because of his disability. There is polycarbonate plastic sheeting available but personally I don't want to put the expense into something that's going to get destroyed by hail and tree branches or raccoons, cats and dogs. I hope that somehow build a greenhouse with the paneling that Brian uses. But the people house needs fixed first.
