Food from the dumpster | Chiemsee & Königssee | Bike world tour | Germany | # 032

We are cycling from Rosenheim via Aschau, Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden towards the Austrian border. We are passing maybe Bavaria's most beautiful lakes, e.g. the Chiemsee or the Königssee. We also dine very royal. On the way, we are asking big supermarkets whether they could give us their dumpster food instead of throwing it away. Indeed we are very lucky: Almond milk, carrot juice, date tomatoes, melon, sausages... Most of the food has not even expired and is still good to eat.

Hallo, Ihr Zwei. Ein Film, welcher zum Nachdenken anregen kann. Deutschland ist so reich, dass hier täglich Lebensmittel in ungeheuren Ausmaß weggefeuert werden, gleichzeitig leben bei uns Menschen unfreiwillig auf der Strasse und durchsuchen Mülleimer nach etwas Eßbaren oder Pfandflaschen (nicht auf Euch gemünzt, ihr seid freiwillig unterwegs). Da fragt man sich doch, ob das alles noch normal ist. Ich denke nicht. Danke für´s mitnehmen und zeigen, Beast Master.

Hallo Beast Master, auf jeden Fall! Wir waren sehr entsetzt über die Menge und Qualität der weggeworfenen Lebensmittel! Völlig unverständlich, dass man sie nicht denjenigen gibt, die sie brauchen, sondern es sofort von der Kühltheke im Supermarkt in den Müllcontainer wandert... Nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern auch in vielen anderen europäischen Ländern haben wir diese Erfahrungen gemacht. Wirklich traurig! Liebe Grüße

Ich habe fast 27 Jahre bei EDEKA in Südbayern gearbeitet...es wurde sehr viel weggeworfen,es gab aber auch Bauern, die die Abfälle abgeholt haben... Seit zwei Jahren arbeite ich bei SPAR in Österreich....Alles viiiiel besser organisiert.... Tischlein Deck Dich erhält täglich alles, was nicht mehr verkauft werden kann und außerdem gibt es To good to go .... Lebensmittel,die kurz vor dem MHD sind, werden für 4,99 pro Tasche verkauft und das wird erstaunlich gut angenommen ...wir können so Brot, Obst und Gemüse, Wurstwaren etc an interessierte Kunden für einen fairen Preis abgeben .... Alles was dann noch verwendbar ist bekommt Tischlein Deck Dich ....bei euch in in Deutschland Die Tafel .... Seitdem haben wir im Bereich Obst u nun d Gemüse viel weniger Abfall, der in die Biotonne geht und einmal wöchentlich abgeholt wird .... PS Die Biotonnen sind in einer Kuehlkammer 7nd werden Anfang Woche zur Leerung rausgestellt

Ja, den gibt's tatsächlich noch. Nach Marokko haben wir eine große Wartungs- & Reparatur Session gemacht.
