Jane Kimmy when u freeze something it usually turns to ice or just really cold liquid, its honestly hard to keep something at a frozen state in a semi-liquid form. Thats probably why wherever you get a slushy there's always a machine turning the liquid so it doesn't get completely frozen. The "in seconds" part was probably a reference to the lack of work on your end to get the same consistency of a slushy rather then the freezing part

I was working at a concession stand last year and I bought myself a Dr Pepper. A rush of customers came, so I sat it in the freezer while I was grabbing someone a popsicle. The peeled orange trick only makes water seep into the holes of the orange making it heavier so it sank, but the unpeeled one had the peel to cover up the holes

The reason why the non peeled orange doesn't sink is because the peeled orange had its root pulled out and that lets Water in making it sink rather than the complete Air Resistant or Water Resistant (in terms of inside the fruit) .
