I remember my grandparents back in the 50's and 60's just using a table covered with a clothe out in the sun, placing slices of fruit on the clothe and then covering with another clothe to dry the fruit. I don't know just how long it took, but I remember the dried fruit pies later in the year.

I’ve been looking for this. I can’t find it anywhere now.

Yeah I don't know why because it was such a popular product. There are similar products that are very reasonably priced if you look up herb dehydrators or hanging dehydrators there's a lot of them. Hope you find one that you like! Thanks for watching and reach you out!

Nice video! Thanks! I use cut pieces of window screens or parchment paper over my plastic trays. Helps with drying herbs especially due to the small pieces.

Thanks for posting this. Mine was just delivered today and I was very excited, but I can't get the dang thing open. I can't separate the corner tabs. Your video doesn't show you actually opening the cover. How did you open yours? Also, I didn't receive an instruction booklet. 😣

I will take a look again tomorrow if I have time and will let you know and I will also look to see if they have a link for a manual.

@@curiosidadesextrano Thank you, but nevermind. My husband got it to open (it was just hard to do), and the booklet was inside the top rack, not in the box like yours was. I appreciate you writing back! Cheers!

Okay the unit I have has a zipper that starts on the bottom and easily zips open but the manual I can't find a website for what I could do is do a video with the manual so that you can see it and everything it includes. Check back I will see if I can do it tomorrow.

Hi I didn't forget I'm having a problem filming the manual for some reason my camera has decided to flip it like a mirror and it's never done that before and I don't know how to get it back. I did try to contact the company and if you send me an email I can send you their contact information or the jpegs that I took but there's a lot of glare but it might be better than nothing. Sorry it took me so long I had a bunch of things come up and I had to deal with those and now this thing with the camera which I need to figure out. Let me know thanks.

Yeah I looked for it and thought it was weird because it was a very popular item. There are others you could get they are not the same but they will do the job just look for hanging herb dryer. Some are listed also for drying other things. But they're super cheap and you could also line them with some kind of parchment. Hope you find one that you like... thanks for watching.

Is there a risk of dust and mold/fungus or germs with this type of food dryer?
@curiosidadesextrano7 жыл бұрын
I don't believe so...the mess is pretty tight and if you do it outdoors on super hot days it should be good. Unfortunately I was unable to test it out this summer but when I do I will show the results. Thanks so much for watching and let me know if you get one.
