I’m trying to make it more vintage looking so I was thinking of white upper cabinets and greenish color for the bottom cabinets, maybe have the walls back white and painting the tiles would be way more cost effective than replacing them. Gotta do it on a budget lol

My hubby is 100% disabled veteran. I had to learn tricks to slowly get him up and a group helped him finally get permanent 100%

@@ConstanceRamos-jf6bu yes we are working with veterans guardian and he has an appointment this week for another claim. So far we are at 10% and if he gets approved for this claim they will have to back pay to April of 2023 as that was when it was initially filed. Little by little we are trying to get what he deserves.

I had a pack of food life balanced beef stew yesterday I got from food pantry last week, I put it in a container heat it up in microwave added salt pepper it was not bad I got 2 packs of that and I like there chili to, also I love sweet peas canned or frozen but I go to food pantry once a month its just me and my two small dogs anyway awesome haul love the videos Amber

They filled the trunk and backseat of the car. 5- 5 dz boxes of eggs, a case of cilantro, a case of lettuce,20# of hot peppers,50# of white potatoes, 10# of plums and the real kicker was 30 # of chicken legs quarters. An amazing blessing for us.

Add a little red wine and some cream to the stew and simmer it it will be pretty tasty throwing a little rosemary sage time maybe a garlic clove or so

When my kids were at home I used canned chicken for chicken enchiladas, chicken and noodles , chicken and rice casserole, chicken salad, I could find far more to do with chicken than ground beef.

Bags given away at food banks but take if you can use it don't if you cant or take out little. I took two massive bags of sweet Apple's, did apple blueberry sauce, dehydrated Apple's, apple bread, apple muffins, apple barbeque sauce, called and had two more picked up. Apple cider, apple pie filling. I don't know what others do but we do eat more apples in winter then summer. I hope with my riches of life do ok when that 9.0 earthquake hits Oregon. Thought the boarder was a hit it just keeps going and snow hasn't came . We had four months of snow but no power for six months being it took that long to fix all the damage of lines everywhere on the ground. It has to get better were hoping.bless all making it threw this crisses.

You can take those mixed veggies, 1 or 2 packs of the chicken, couple of those onions, add extra seasonings, like garlic powder, salt pepper & couple of bouillon cubes, fill pot with water,, & egg noodles or elbow macaroni & you have a good chicken noodle soup...can also use rice & have chicken & rice soup.

I went to a mobile food bank today because it was less than a mile from where I picked up my wife's medicine. I was 3 from the last car in line. Was hoping for maybe a few veggies and some bread. OMG

Food life balance must be national. They are found in the pantries up in ND and MN, too. The company I work for gi es out Sr commodity boxes once a month and they contain all these foods!

You can make dal with lentils (although the ones you have are more used in Middle Eastern or Balkan recipes, but they would work perfectly well if you like Indian food). Persian style pilaf, soups (lentil soup is great vegetarian, but like most legumes it pairs with pork, bacon, ham or smoked meats so well), lentil burgers (I use tofu or mashed potato or egg and breadcrumbs as a binder because they dont "stick" like meat does), cooked, with vinaigrette poured on while hot, then used cold in a salad. Cook with onion, celery, carrots, etc, and use as a side. I also make bologniase sauce using them instead of beef. You can bulk out minced beef in any recipe, go full on 1970s hippie and make a lentil pie (veggie version of shepherds pie with mashed potato top). There's also a pie called "red dragon pie" if Im remembering correctly, which uses mashed red kidney beans, mixed with chilli, fried onion, bell peppers, garlic and sweetcorn and baked in a pie with wholemeal pastry top and bottom.

I love Indian food and one of my favorites is a madras lentils and I know they typically use the red lentils but I was curious if I could make it work with the ones I get.

@@marymcdonald6284 with the chic peas, I love to eat them cold on salads, also they are used to make hummus which is a wonderful dip/spread or I will dry them off and season them then air fry them till they get crispy and it makes a wonderful crispy snack that replaces the need for chips in our house. I also add chick peas to soups like veggie soups and white chicken chili. Also in a bean salad. I was vegetarian for several years so I got to know chic peas very well lol they are also known as garbanzo beans

@@MsRene98 oh nice!!!! I will have to try the chili Mac. Thank you and we haven’t had an issue with the beef stew but yes the pulled pork is not our favorite at all. We will use it as we can’t afford to waste it but have to be very creative with how we use it. I’m going to try using the pulled pork in a Brunswick stew next time.
