Wow they do a nice job with giving food. My pantry gives us a list and we mark what we want and mail it back for the next month. They go by household size as to how much of each thing you get. Sometimes they have a table of stuff that we can take one item from. For Thanksgiving we can sign up to get a turkey and all the stuff to make dinner. Food pantries are very helpful.

This was a great food bank haul.. Hey Prepper Dale, you can cut your onions up and place on a baking sheet in your oven on the lowest setting for about 10 hours, and grind them up in a blender, or a food chopper, if you don't have a grinder. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

At my local food bank what they do here is is there's three different Windows you line up at one of the three Windows when you get to the front they ask for your birthday and nothing more. I was homeless for a while so I didn't have an address. But once the formalities are over she goes through a list of all of the things they have in the pantry that day. And believe me you walk away with way more food than you could possibly eat. I'm truly blessed to have a great food bank here where I live do you only have to go to one place and it starts at 1:00 Monday through Friday and you can come once a week

I’m 76, still work full time. I make pretty good money but I just got notice our co-op maintenance will go up 4%. I was at the grocery store this afternoon and was shocked at how everything has gone up. Pretty soon, we can’t afford to live in the U.S. anymore.

Great haul. I heard u say they deliver to some. I wished they delivered where I live. Because it would definitely cut my grocery bill. They give a lot of food for one. That was an extra good food haul . Lots of protein options, with pastas and veggies for their side dishes . I can't get over the plastic bags . I miss plastic grocery bags . I used them for garbage and used Kitty litter . Now I have to buy kitchen catcher plastic bags to line my garbage cans and when doing the litter boxes......

You said that you was surprised that more people weren't there. There is still a stigma about going to food banks. My brother in law said oh you go to get charity. I worked since I was 14 and paid taxes. So I figured if I can get a little help then I will. Some of ours are dive through. You get what they put in your trunk. I always give away what I can't use. Our senior center gives free breakfast and lunch Monday thru Friday. Just $5 a year. I'm new here, sorry I talked so long. Have a good thanksgiving. You didn't say how often you can go.

I'm so sorry about your dog . I recently lost 1 or my 4 senior cats . Miss Margaret Kitty was having health issues this past year . Vet said that she either had the cat version of Crohn's or bowel cancer , and she'd be too weak to live through any surgery . So I got her prescription medicine and pills , and her digestive issues weren't as bad . Until this autumn Miss Margaret Kitty was doing pretty good for an old gal . Then she wasn't herself anymore . I set up a vet appointment for her, but she died hours before her appointment time . Vet set up things for her cremation and now sweet little Miss Margaret Kitty is on my shelf , in a small wooded box . Now I live for my other 3 senior cats and my 2 adult human children . I reckon we still have the memories , but they take a bit of our hearts with them , don't they ?

Sorry about Wilma passing as it's like losing your family. Maybe later when you're ready get another dog that would get along with your kitty. Wow you hit the jackpot. One time I went to the food ;pantry with my friend at the Salvation Army. The lady gave us one grocery bag, then she felt generous and gave us another bag, she thought she got it good, then when we went back to her house to unpack the bags it was full of dented rusted out cans, it all had to be thrown away. She had a little girl.

I must say you got a very nice haul,every time I got I never get egg,no butter no canned meat,usually garbanzo beans,noodle with no sauce,no bread,just garbage and never milk,what is that name of the place you went,you got very nice haul…I never make a turkey I use chicken and broil it,make gravy from the juice and then mashed potatoes..that sausage is great..you did great ❤❤❤

Hello, Went to the food bank yesterday and received some great items. Some thin beef steaks which I have made beef and gravy in the crockpot today. Canned 14 quarts of French onion soup today for the winter. Onions were on sale awhile back and I try to think of meals to make whenever items are on sale. First snow, nothing lasting but will give the hunters an advantage. The food bank items are such a help. The lady coming down the food bank driveway must have lost reverse in her van ha ha. Also, in my area, some of the food banks do not require any income limits or anything you can go and show up and not have to fill out any paperwork. It’s just if you show up they’ll give you food.

You get some great things that actually help make a meal and meals more palatable. I've gone twice in my last few years and each time was awful. Mold, expired and nothing to cook or fix into a meal. I don't qualify for some places even on my low income since it's just me. I'm OK though. My son, friends, ex-daughter-in-law and oldest daughter make sure I am doing well. My son gives me things to sell on the Marketplace. Sometimes, people....but it helps for sure. Happy new Year!

I was watching another food bank haul today and the lady was whining to KZbin because she drove a long way and all they had left was watermelon and onions......Many food banks run on volunteers and the food banks are struggling to offer enough food also so I think it is important to be grateful for whatever you receive.......many foodbanks are run by churches and I understand fuel is expensive only to find all you can get is a watermelon. Perhaps each church/food bank can set up a basic website that tell you they have a lot of food this week or not much at all.......then people can decide if they will drive a long distance for a small amount of fresh produce or not.

Dale, I wanted to tell you this story that just happened to my mom. She’s 73 and has copd, diseases in her arteries that are painful, plus because of worries about food and paying her electricity she’s gone down to 98 lbs. Well, Somehow they lost her July check that she sent them in person at the office at the leasing office and that they lost it so here we are in January with a letter on her door taped on her door saying that she hast to come up with the 995. By February next month to renew her lease we had no idea that they lost her July rent and we are just notified this in January. Isn’t that ridiculous !! I feel pissed and why do they do this to seniors?!?! The fact that landlords that have gotten every single rent on time and not late and for this one error they want to kick her out. It’s just ridiculous. They didn’t tell her this months ago when the check was lost ( they literally misfiled it ) because it surely was sent there. Just the simple easiest province to fix they make it so hard for seniors, and they just want to kick them out at no regards to their safety and their life. I mean I get it she owes the money, but God they won’t even work with her, knowing that it’s been six months since she’s even been realized that this has happened. I just feel bad for people that feel like they can’t fight for their rights. Your videos helped me from crying and loosing it because you make me calm. Ty for sharing. Sometimes seeing other people and the way they live helps you understand you’re not alone. Again keep the videos coming. WE LOVE YOUR FOOD BABK HSUKS N YOUR CONVERSATIONS ON HOW YOU MAJE IT TO SURVIVE TY ! Stay frosty. Maybe you can do a video on how you got help with food n some uplifting takes. You have a way of doing it and she likes watching you. By the time you announced to a senior, six months later that their previous July rent check, didn’t clear. Now she’s a wreck and because she has to come up with the money by February along with her February rent is going to put her in the hospital. She just can’t handle it emotionally. I just feel bad for seniors really do we just try to do the best we can. Thanks for the video we really love them. They cheer us up seeing someone’s frugal life that’s a very nice person. 😊

Small eggs are usually from young chickens. The eggs get larger as the chickens get older.

Yes, when I had chickens, I learned that the first time I had buddies and they turned into pullets (small young chicken) and layed first eggs. Very small but quickly became normal size in I guess a month or two or so. I never see them in the grocery stores, just fresh eggs when I can find them.

For those on low income check with local health and human services you may qualify for senior commodities program every state has it-we both qualify and pick up food every 60 days it’s helped alot

I’ve only seen you go to one food pantry. I know that I have neighbors that they say they go to three different ones because around here you have your main food pantry but then all of the churches all have separate food pantries and they’re all out they’re all stagger throughout the month, so that one is open Like the first week of the month and then the other one is open like the second week of the month and the third week of the month and the fourth week of the month so you don’t like run out of food you could if you need to you can go to these other like you can go to the main one like one time and then you can go to the other ones a different time

These are good cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes i think. You can cook them soft and chewy or little longer for crispy. Ovens vary so watch and adjust time

I sold my old one on Facebook Marketplace, went fast. My new one (iPhone 13 ) was offered by my wireless carrier. I just had to extend my contract . Didn’t pay any extra. Check if your Service offers Phones. Thanks for Watching!!!😃

In regards to you talking about you wanting a phone but they’re expensive I know if you go to AT&T you can pay monthly like I don’t know I said I don’t even remember what I pay but I think I paid something like $10 a month or something like that is not one it’s not like a lot of money, but you have to pay like over a couple years
