Food shopping haul 25/10/19

My 4th food shop of the month (from my households payday) I spent £76.43 in Aldi, £27.87 collectively in Morrison’s so from my monthly budget of £400 I have £91.46 remaining.
At my shop the best time to get the best deals is around 7pm quarter to- to be on the safe side and the different departments fruit & veg, bread, deli ect are done at different times it’s a bit of waiting around but very much worth it... all stores maybe a little different but best of luck and if you get some good deals I’d love to hear about em please leave them in the comments.

If you make jam with the raspberries, something I love doing with the softer fruits is keeping a bowl full aside and adding them nearer the end, when the rest are pretty squished up by stirring and boiling. So you get some more whole or bigger chunks in the jam.

You are very sensible to do “ semi cooking”. I do the same. Some evenings after a full day out we just want a simple home cooked meal and yes it saves a ton of money.

You amazed me again. I want a Morrison's in my city in the US. Ok, onto that video I mentioned last time - meals from the change you receive from other purchases. I think it would be fun to see you save your coins for a week or month and then buy items for whole meals. You can even use that as a way to donate to a shelter or family and show how easy it is to help others. FRUIT BOWLS FOR 5P? AMAZING. Think I will move to the UK.

Deborah, can you believe those prices, stores here in the US are never priced like that. We have an Aldi here in SW Florida close to me and there prices are no-wheres the pricing in the UK. I'm always amazed when Helen goes shopping.

I shop Aldi and Pubix our Aldi doesn't sell all I need and Pubix does have some good offers.

Great haul as always, I do the same when I go on holiday as eating out everyday as a family is far too expensive, I love going to Great Yarmouth we all enjoy the chip market there & the chips are the best chips I’ve ever eaten anywhere & are very cheap X

Oh my lord Helen! I’ve just been to Morrison’s.....I was scared for my life 😂 they were running after the poor lady grabbing off her as she was trying to fill the shelf 🥺 I managed to get a pizza for 60p though 😏 xxxx

Farely new subscriber. I would like to see a video dedicated to yellow labels if you haven't already done so. Like how you prepare and store it all. Do you freeze it all or use it day you buy it. I am so conscious with use by dates etc X

Hey Megan welcome Hun I just gage it Hun if I don't think I will get to it before it goes bad I'll freeze it but if I plan on having right away I won't my rule of thumb if you can buy it pre frozen then it's freezable with veg I cut it up and stick it in a frezzer bag :) xx

Hey Deborah I just gage it Hun you can tell if foods going bad and if I know I'm not gana get to it before I can use it up then I will freeze it rule of thumb i go by if you can buy it pre frozen then it's frezzeable :)

That carrot cake has a use by date of 17th October can u still eat it after that date ? Sorry I know it might be a dumb question

Hey Taz yes all the yellow label foods are reduced because the date is of that it's being sold with meats you can freeze that day and it will last veg you can tell by looking at it if it gone bad with the cake we did eat it the day we got it with my mum being down a cake that size between 6 people is not gana last long haha :)
