Diet. Diet and sunlight and regular active exercise make a HUGE difference in height and bone density and overall health. And guess what an influx of U.S. military brought into So Korea about 70 years ago? American foods and activities, exposure to same in the general population, then enough investing in local businesses to increase incomes for most so eating more than the core E Asian diet was affordable. It really is that simple. And why a LOT of American raised Asian and EurAsian kids are taller than their parents of the same sex, even the American born parents.

She'll be really disappointed when she visits America. As so many non Koreans has false or incorrect belieft about Korea based on Korean dramas, a lot of Koreans have incorrect beliefs about America from watching movies and tv shows. Seoul has everything New York and L.A. does, but it's safer and much cleaner in Seoul. The differences are that America does have a lot of homes with a yard while Korea doesn't because 70% of the country is mountains. And in most places in America, everything closes really early, unlike Seoul where you can do almost anything 24 hours a day.

Or are you just a troll that hates South Korea and the USA??? Your "page" kind of indicates that?

If you go outside of New York or L.A. in America, unless you want fast food, restaurants usually close by 9 PM with some areas closing at 7 PM. If you want to party in America, most bars close at 11 PM on the weeknights and other than New York, they usually close by 1 AM. If you want to buy food, prices are about 2x to 3x more expensive than Korea and if you want to go to a fancy restaurant, expect to pay around $200 per person. A regular restaurant will cost you about $40-$50 per person. That's all without any drinks or alcohol. If you plan on having alcohol with your meal, expect to psy double or tripe the prices above. If you're looking to find a cute guy or girl, over 70% of the country is overweight, The average weight of an American woman in her 20s is around 78 kgs.

And gives both teams a break or having a meeting to see, what they need to improve their gaming skills. Fun Fact: a lot of Americans don't watch the Superbowl game. they just watch the Superbowl for the funny TV commercials ads. it a contest that people can vote for the best TV ad of the year and the Half Time Show.. lol the only Americans that really watch the game. is either your favorite team make it to the Superbowl or you have bets on the game lol everyone else, is all about the TV ads and the half time show lol

It's funny with that word, how nobody really knows where it came from.. Seems like it's alternately a term of endearment or an insult? Many people have used it in a derogatory fashion, similar to how people would call the Germans "Krauts" back in the day. Apparently the term comes from the civil war over in the US, originally the southerners using it to refer to northerners? Here in Denmark a local candy producer (Toms) was commissioned (by the US army!) to produce "yankie" branded chocolate bars for US troops stationed after WW2. They still make 'em today, it's an interesting story. :O

Long history, I'll try to keep it short. The Brits had Crown Loyalists known as The Puritans, a Dutch fella by the name of Jan Kees (Pronunciation sounds just like "Yankees") broke off and started his own religious group because he and his followers didn't like paying taxes to the Brits. Before the Revolutionary War the Jan Kees' Puritans branched off into other denominations such as the Presbyterians, Episcopalians and Methodists, they all fought for the Union and the Brits started calling all US soldiers "Jan Kees traitors" and sounded like "Yankees, traitors" who embraced the name to mean "Rebellion" or "Rebels". Hence the New York Yankees aka NY Rebels.

@ll78682 ай бұрын
@@mortenrl1946 I fucked up, yeah, there was a lot more, . Jan Kees was a nickname given by the Roman Catholic Scottish & Dutch Puritans to the Greek Orthodox Protestant English Puritan leaders, specifically John Winthrop and Roger Williams during The Great Migration because they refused to convert to the Catholic Church as King Charles 1 ordered. In the Netherlands calling someone Jan Kees meant "cowards" or someone with weak character and morality. When the Brits said it they meant it as "traitors". The English Puritans made it mean "rebel" while they were helping kick the British Crown and Catholic Church to the curb. Funnily enough the Dutch government was the first country to internationally recognize the United States as an Independent Republic after that wee skirmish. The Puritans weren't the only ones fighting for Independence, but they pissed off the Crown and Pope more than anyone else because they were making a fortune in the slave trade down in the Bible Belt and not giving the Crown or Pope their tribute. Those same English Puritans went on to form the Confederacy to protect their slave trade income. Look up The Great Schism, Prots and Caths have hated each other for a long time.

Don't admire the USA too much. Don't get me wrong, I live here and like it, but our country isn’t without blame for many things around the world- a divided Korea being one of them. Some might argue that without U.S. involvement, Russia would have taken over all of Korea, and the whole peninsula might be like North Korea today. Maybe. But maybe without all the sanctions imposed by the U.S., things could have turned out differently for North Korea. I don't know. What I do know is that Russia and the U.S. had a lot more influence on what happened in Korea than the Korean people themselves did, and that’s unfortunate-at least in my opinion.
