Hello from U.K. Dr Scher . Love your short straight to the point updates on nutritional studies. Been your follower for couple of years ❤️Gave up white stuff (sugar and flour) and started eating once a day about 18 months ago. Although I did not have health issues prior to that I can write a novel about super cool things that happened since including improved psychological well being , less wrinkles, less cellulite, no stiffness in neck/shoulders, effortless weight loss and many more. I had eczema since childhood and it disappeared within 2 weeks! Quite often I don’t feel hungry after 24 hours fast and had few 36-48 fasts when it feels right. It was a bit tough first 2-4 weeks but now I cannot imagine any other way. Thanks again for your compassion, professionalism and desire to make people’s life better 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Things that help me eat less: OMAD (one meal a day) Mostly beef (you can eat low carb veggies and cheese if you would like) Give your body time to adjust to this schedule (1-2 weeks)
@alexmorgan34352 жыл бұрын
OMAD - yes. Only beef and cheese a few low carb veggies - no, this is fad eating. Will cause you more problems long term not to mention a high risk of bowel cancer. High protein yes, so all types of meat, eggs and oily fish. Just make sure you eat the best quality and most natural unprocessed items you can find.

@@alexmorgan3435 People have to do what works for them. I eat this way (yes, it's boring eating the same thing a day) to keep myself from binge eating. And remember, we are all going to die no matter what diet we choose. I say choose a diet that you enjoy (and I really enjoy eating this food) and that you can sustain. :)

This confirmed what I already know and do. It's not hard to work out that if you eat sugar and carbs typically junk processed food that a short time later you will be hungry again where as if you eat protein you will not eg eggs, meat, oily fish, pickled veg, pumpkin seeds.
@jamesp53012 жыл бұрын
my n=1. I'm not a moderator and while I'm not diagnosed, I probably suffer from some disordered eating habits. Peanut butter, cheese and any kind of fat bomb foods I could binge without trying. Low to moderate fat steak or meat fills me up well. After largely removing the bingable foods my eating has gotten back under control and have resumed weightloss and am not snacking. Of course part of it is mindset but part of it is the food too

Awesome as usual. One size fits one is my believe. I have amazingly good results on weight loss and lowering my A1C with LCHF but it doesn’t mean it works for everyone. I am having CGM and closely following the feedback from my AGP , GV and DV on my report. The trend of my blood glucose guide me to find the best suitable food and activity for myself. Everyone needs to find his or her own. Thanks again For awesome service

Thanks for another helpful study, Dr. Scher. IDK if you all edit videos after they've been posted but the text on this one is inaccurate re: percentage protein. you say 17% but the text says 70%. Confusing for those who aren't listening carefully or can't hear well.

Short term studies are way too uncertain. e.g. will some foods decrease short term calorie intake, but lead to binging later on?
@cassieoz17022 жыл бұрын
We seem to be heading into a new dogma of higher protein without discussion of how many people DONT thrive on it or the implications for folks who are living with cancer. I'm suspicious of any study that says that sugar free sodas result in reduced calorie intake because so many other studies say it makes no difference

I can eat lot's of food if I was macro blind, infact I used to eat upto and well beyond 10,000 calories just to feel satiety a couple of years ago. After going keto/LC/carnivore lost more than 100 lbs with many health benefits that came with it. However what I find interesting is I can eat so much meat and still not feel satiety yet when I eat a couple or so avocados I'm done. I weight train weekly (have been for years) and sprint train as well, is the high protein need is due to that? Or what is so speacial about avocados? I'll hope to figure it out one day. : )

There are a LOT of individuals who find fat more satiating than prorein. I have to stop eating meat a bit sooner but get hungry again sooner so I take in less calories overall if I stick to higher fat and moderate protein
@mathfaster2 жыл бұрын
Avocados are a very high fat and relatively high dietary fiber food. Maybe there is more release of CCK(cholecystokinin), a hormone, that makes you feeler fuller and avocados are quicker to release CCK than meat. Dr. Boz has talked about triggering CCK when you break your fast by eating foods that release it. The fiber in the avocados may help keep that release of CCK going longer. Pure speculation.

My intuition is that the study discussed in this video is worthless at best, and possibly misleading. I have discovered more than 10 major benefits from switching to a low carb healthy fat diet, so I have no interest in skim milk and diet sodas. I am thoroughly convinced that real food is the number one most important aspect of any diet. Natural sweeteners in anything but minute quantities are unhealthy. Artificial sweeteners in any quantity are not real food.
