Wow, what a great show! I enjoyed watching it. Although I'm from Beijing, I've learned so much from this episode. It flows naturally and makes the experience so immersive, the food, the culture, and the people. It brings back so many fond memories. Thanks to Tianran and Eva for being great hosts. Thank you to the team for making such a quality show. I hope CGTN will produce more programs like this, as this is a great way to tell stories about real China.

Even in India they have Manchurian chow mean. China has fabulous food culture and its influence around the world wherever they went. Great culinary experience. For those not appreciating the culture of others will fall into decline

22:42 Mantou is the perfect light and fluffy canvas to absorb tasty toppings. Some businesses have used it very well to create chinese-style burgers.

If all the "well produced food themed shows/series based on the title, this has to be one of the *most disappointing* I have ever seen. Almost no close ups of the finished food, nothing on actual ingredients. What ingredients were used to make the shrimp dumpling dough? The reality varies quite a bit. What techniques? Methods of prep? Types of heat are required? Where is the footage to show the cooking? What were the flavors, textures, mouthfeel? This was lot of teasing and generalizations without specifics. Truly disappointing.

Not sure if this right trend for China. Occasionally to know the history is one thing, going backwards is another.
