Why are so many people who are reporting on this stirring the pot and not being honest. If H & M wanted a better relationship with the family they would have spent more time in the UK when the Queen was alive. Small children who do not attend school can live anywhere. They wanted to fly in for 2 days (like they did for the Jubilee) and we are expected to applaud them. Stop the conversations about them already and focus on the Coronation.

When you're trying to rebuild broken relationships you can't demand everything is on your terms, as Harry and Meghan are doing. It's very hard for the royal family to want to engage with them because Harry and his wife have been so disloyal, so public, treacherous, and have tried to destroy them personally as well as the monarchy. Whatever the failings of Charles, William, Catherine or Camilla may or be not be, what Harry and Meghan have done is a million times worse. I believe in a nutshell that Harry and Meghan's courtship was way too short, which skipped over giving Harry and the family the chance to see if she could fit in, get on with others, bring more harmony to the family. See if she was there for the right reasons, and for the long haul. I believe she saw marrying Harry as an opportunity to be handed a huge platform, and wealth. I think the family could see that, and that their attempts to get this across to Harry was met with hostility. He was brainwashed to think she was a good person with good intentions, and any resistance by the family was interpreted as jealousy, racism, anti-americanism, etc. How can you get through to someone so deluded, someone so besotted with their partner? They cannnot see it, and as a result they'll accuse you of bad motives. Since Harry and his wife left Meghan has shown what her true intentions were all along, as she goes full throttle courting the spotlight, fame, celebs, and attention.

I watched a recent interview of historian David Starkey and he made an excellent point about KCharles trying to include everyone, appease people about centuries-old slavery issues, and basically trying to win over people who don’t like the monarchy. Paraphrased: The King is trying to win over people who will never like the monarchy and, in doing so, will greatly disappoint the monarchists of this country.

I totally agree and what Charles is too dim to realize is that he is bringing about the end of the monarchy. The UK no longer has the demographics of decades ago. The new populations do not, as a majority, believe in Christianity or the UK culture and have no affection or allegiance to a monarchy. They have come from other countries for the financial gains which have helped to destroy UK citizens who families have centuries of British ancestors. These populations have been allowed to invade the Uk and ignore the laws as they get full financial support from the UK taxpayers. Add to that the increasing difficulty in people trying to feed, house, and heat their homes and it is a boiling pot that will demand an end to the monarchy. If PW goes down the same woke path as his father it will just add fuel to the fire. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen much faster than people can imagine. There will always be "royals" and they will provide media jobs and sell stories forever, but they will have to live in very different ways.

I agree. He is just being woke and overlooking the importance of historical facts. I'm Canadian and all of our First Nations depend on treaties signed with his predecessors before Canada was even a thought.
