I don't know how it works in US regarding to legal matters, I'm french, but in my country if you deal this way, basically the company have nothing to say, it's its own business to cancel its service (or scam for the current instance). But yeah, this is different in france, NOTHING works in france nowadays, as long as you don't directly fuck with the state, you take almost no legal risks. We already don't do it for our ISPs, we just give 'em the finger, so...

The sad part is, that's very real concept...some companies will charge you a specific fee for a contract cancellation and if you purchase a car on finance and you pay it off earlier than the contract, some banks will charge you a "early settlement" fee. That's not exactly the same as the "10 year cancellation fee" but it comes pretty close.

It’s kind of smart in a fucked up way because that’s how you weed out anyone that’s not gullible, easily cowed and/or enough of a people-pleaser to give the scammer the feeling of being in control. They don’t expect to profit off every call, it’s just a matter of the ratio of time spent to the amount of money gained at the end of a day or week. That means if a real person is still putting up a good fight and not going along after 10, 20, 30 minutes or so, the scammer can hang up and move along. However Kitboga knows how to string them along by showing just enough fake deference and compliance to let them think they are still in control which is how we get such wonderful content because after enough time on the line, the scammer now feels they NEED to get money from the call because of the amount of time spent. To get money they need to be in control, which Kitboga allows them to think they are, but if they were in control they’d have gotten money, which they haven’t, and I think it’s that contradiction that slowly drives them insane over 2 or 4 or 10 hours.

You will have cancellation charges for many things such as insurance policies etc. It's ridiculous but here in the UK, if you sell a vehicle you are supposed to cancel the insurance so that the next owner can insure it. If you cancel it after only a few weeks they will deduct some as a cancellation fee and send you the rest but if you cancel near the end of the year you can end up owing them money !

But in real life the companies that do have a fee to cancel it's reasonable because most countries have laws against charging unreasonable fees including unreasonable cancelation fees, and if there were no laws in place word would get around about the company charging unreasonable fees and people will eventually not do business with the company.
