Fools Peak | Class 4 Scramble in Stunning Holy Cross Wilderness, CO

This Backpacking Adventure takes us deep into the Holy Cross Wilderness area of Colorado, touring two Picturesque Alpine Lakes, Lake Charles and Mystic Island Lake. After setting up camp at the base of Fools Peak it was easy to get an Alpine start and enjoy an engaging Class 4 scramble up its North Ridge.

This is a surprise area for me as I have not been in any of the Holy Cross W. other than lake Constantine and doing a cross country leg straight up from there to the Halo route section. This area you visit is simply gorgeous and certainly unexpected. Of course your excellent choice of filming variations and quality makes the adventure for us armchair visitors drooling. I loved the details and certainly added time well spent elements in having worked in some trick videography and the land of mushroom segment. Hope you weren't the one chomping on some of those that looked partially eaten. Did you happen to have the thought of being high in multiple ways? :). Great route taking up Fools and looks like you had a great time and a great find. Thanks for the idea. May have to hit that area up next year. Best!
