@rons-topic1067
@rons-topic1067 20 күн бұрын
@@JKennedy442 no, Sebastian Bach has only high pitch. But not voice like Ronnie. Ronnie has the modulation. Ronnie, Freddie Mercury, Joey tempest all these are european singers they have good art in their voice. Americans have hard or high pitch voice but not art. Even in guitar playing european guitarists like David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore etc uses Dorian phrygian mixolydian etc in guitar playing. But americans rely only on blues and pentatonics.

There is no denying that this song is an absolute rock masterpiece. As many times as I have listened to it I have thought about exactly what makes it so great. While there is no denying that Dio and Ritchie are both incredible, for me it is Cozy that gets the most credit. In very few songs do the drums have as much of a distinct, powerful and profound impact on the piece as this one does.

jasonfury1 yeah its almost as if Blackmore is the wizard leading them to failure and dio and the band are the slaves. I love both duo and Blackmore but its interesting to think about. Either way, both made this song memorable. Between dios emotion, power and range to Blackmore's seeming simple riffs that's surprisingly fulfilling and deep (paradoxically). Not to mention the drums, bass (underrated imo) and keyboard. Its instantly a classic for me, unique in its own way. I dig the structure of the song, and the lyrical symbolism/literal style.

Clever piece of music nerd stuff by Blackmore. The song is in Em. Whose relative major is G Major. Whose third mode is B Phrygian. So Ritchie did the solo in B Phrygian. Phrygian mode solos always sound exotic. He did a similar thing on Mistreated on the Made in Japan live album, and his clever use of modes in what makes him stand above the other guitar heroes of the 70s in my opinion. Either way, I'm glad you like it.

@@gypana Its not crazy you dumbass... Have you heard early Zeppelin? I'm talking late 60s Zeppelin. 1969's Zeppelin II defined hard rock... It caused Deep Purple to completely change their sound in 1970 to a crazy hard rock band with songs such as bloodsucker which almost sounded like thrash metal. Sabbath in the same year released similar songs which were influenced by Zeppelin 1 and 2. You got the hard rock with harmonica, heavy bass... This is some of the most basic hard rock knowledge, Led Zeppelin may not be the best but they were the band that completely changed the hard rock sound, which lead to Deep Purple Mk.2 and Sabbath.

I don't know if someone has already posted the lyrics... LYRICS High noon, oh I'd sell my soul for water Nine years worth of breakin' my back There's no sun in the shadow of the wizard See how he glides, why he's lighter than air Oh I see his face! Where is your star? Is it far, is it far, is it far? When do we leave? I believe, yes, I believe In the heat and the rain With whips and chains To see him fly So many die We build a tower of stone With our flesh and bone Just to see him fly But don't know why Now where do we go? Hot wind, moving fast across the desert We feel that our time has arrived The world spins, while we put his dream together A tower of stone to take him straight to the sky Oh I see his face! Where is your star? Is it far, is it far, is it far? When do we leave? Hey, I believe, I believe In the heat and the rain With whips and chains Just to see him fly Too many die We build a tower of stone With our flesh and bone To see him fly But we don't know why Ooh, now where do we go INSTRUMENTAL All eyes see the figure of the wizard As he climbs to the top of the world No sound, as he falls instead of rising Time standing still, then there's blood on the sand Oh I see his face! Where was your star? Was it far, was it far When did we leave? We believed, we believed, we believed In heat and rain With the whips and chains To see him fly So many died We built a tower of stone With our flesh and bone To see him fly But why In all the rain With all the chains Did so many die Just to see him fly Look at my flesh and bone Now, look, look, look, look, Look at his tower of stone I see a rainbow rising Look there, on the horizon And I'm coming home, I'm coming home, I'm coming home Time is standing still He gave back my will Ooh ooh ooh ooh Going home I'm going home My eyes are bleeding And my heart is leaving here But it's not home But it's not home Ooh Take me back He gave me back my will Ooh ooh ooh ooh Going home I'm going home My eyes are bleeding And my heart is leaving here But it's not home But it's not home Ooh Take me back, take me back Back to my home ooh, ooh, ooh

This is true heavy metal. Lyrics about history, metaphysical and biblical events. Ronnie was well read in the Bible, astrology, astronomy, religious history, Greek mythology and medieval history and folklore. This background gave him and endless supply of proper information for accurate and interesting heavy metal lyrics. not just some made up theoretical nonsense. This music is not about sex, drugs and Rock and roll. It is about the human condition, life, death our evil side and our godly side. Ronnie was a fascinating and intelligent lyricists and performer whom left an indelible mark not only upon the world of hard rock and metal but also the world of music, art and literature. I would like to say thanx to God for placing Ronnie in our midst even if only for a short while. You did tell us through James the brother of Jesus that our lives are nothing more than a vapor.
