Exclusive content for the Foose Design KZbin Channel!!!
Part seven of the series reveals the final look of this custom C-10! Chip Foose walks you through the many modifications to the exterior, interior, engine, wheels/tires, bed, exhaust, grille and more and even gets the truck on the open road for a test drive.
In this eight part series Chip Foose chronicles his custom 1967 Chevy C-10 truck build, showing you projects and solutions you can apply at home along the way.
The build was inspired by an original '67 Camaro Z/28 motor Chip found years ago. He dreamt about a Camaro performance packaged C-10, offered by the factory in 1967 (hence the “C/28” moniker) and set out to create it.
The weather striping is from a 2014 Chevrolet pickup front doors and trimmed to fit.

I like the “what if Chevy had built this or that” concept. The engine compartment looks spot on right down to the temp gage sensor connection ! Very well done Mr Foose.

In my opinion, this is probably the nicest car you have built. I'm definitely not a fan of large rims with thin rubber. This one is incredibly tasty. And if you do not think about it, I would think many people see it as a very nice original car. Personally, maybe I would have preferred rally wheels on it to get it even more discreet. Very nice building.

Chip foose and his team do amazing work!! Love his designs and mechanical mods. If i had the cash i would have him do a resto mod 69 mustang with 5.2 voodoo motor and ten speed auto. For paint i go with a candy purple to tangerine fade with white leather interior! Now all i need is 150k and a place on his long waiting list to make my dream com true.

A nearly perfect build! The only thing I would change is to add the factory tachometer in the blank space above the steering column. I think a 'factory C/28' would have had one. It's an easy add, too. I added one to my '68.

Very tasteful. Only one glaring omission: should have sourced a factory tach between speedo and fuel gauge. Could even have reworked the dial for the correct MO redline. Also source the small optional clock if theres a blank spot (or delete/ relocate the park brake warning.

Another outstanding simple design. My favorite year besides the 1949-50. I would love to come across something in the nice of shape to start with. The only thing I would do for my personal truck is drop my favorite GM motor if all time and that is a 409ci w head. Everyone that knows muscle cars would recognize that and most of all We build a mean 409
