Honestly, Chip is one of the few builders that I would give a car to and just say "do what you want". nearly everything he does has a timeless classy look to it.

I like the “what if Chevy had built this or that” concept. The engine compartment looks spot on right down to the temp gage sensor connection ! Very well done Mr Foose.

The perfect truck! Nobody does it like Chip Foose. I had a friend who passed that knew everything there is to know about 67-72 Chevy trucks and he always had one in the works. I wish he could have lived to see this truck. Thanks Chip.

I have been a faithful fan of you Chip and watched Overhauling religiously. I often picture having my 1968 Impala 2dr done by you but it's a pipe dream because i had to sell it due to some Financial hardships and the loss of my mother. What you do and the love of labour you pour into these fine vehicles is true artistry.

Chip Foose is a class act, through and through! And brilliant one at that! Rarely do you find an individual who is at the top of their game in their profession, and who is also genuinely humble. Chip Foose is such an individual!

You are truly a gift in the custom world.. And my i add you should try building something different like a Punkin thrower or something like that.. I think you should do a junkyard wars TYPE of build off too .. I'm not gonna lie i used a lot of your ideas .LOL
@Kangenpower7 Жыл бұрын
I like the brake upgrade with dual cylinders, power brakes from a later model year! Not the single cylinder found on the pre-1967 vehicles, where one brake line goes, and you have no brakes! Then switch to disk brakes for stopping power. You have no idea how weak the 4 drum brakes are on a car built in the early 60's and before. Modern front disk is great, 4 wheel disk is wonderful!

The differences are so subtle that from a distance you wouldn't notice them. You'd think it was just a really clean restored C/10. But when you get close and pay attention to the details they are perfection. I have a vision of building a similar car, Something that Ford never made but I feel that they should have. And it's a car that I have always wanted. I hope that someday I can put my dream car together, the way I see it in my dreams. Thanks for all that you do.

In 1974 I bought my first pickup truck when I got out of the USMC. The truck was a 1967 Chevrolet CST [Custom Sport Truck] short/wide bed. It came from the factory with bucket seats and a "buddy" seat in the middle, which enclosed a storage compartment beneath the seat bottom. Big back window. Very cool. Also had a factory tach, full instrumentation, A/C, power steering and power brakes. On the outside of the doors, where Foose's truck calls out Custom, mine was CST. Very cool rig.

Welcome to restoration from TV world . Using parts you'll never find , tools you can't afford , in a garage that's bigger than the town you live in . I'm jealous . I find watching Foose , Stacey Davis & the like to be intimidating . Like I'll never have enough money or time to do something like this .

Bud Lee, True that. Chip has the talent and drive. Glad to see him share that to us, car lovers. Foose, Leno, Tim Allen, etc have air conditioned garages full of toys. Pretty sure they have employees to do the maintenance and upkeep. I don't envy that, glad they enjoy it. Of coarse they have sponsors and make millions of dollars. Think of this. If a regular non celebrity drove a truck this nice 1 time, it would be car jacked or ran over by somebody without insurance in 1 day.

Chip is one of those guys who can "geek" on details that the rest of us go alright. That glove box detail is the bees knees. The suspension, braking upgrades not to mention the stinky gas tank behind the seat removed upgrades it from 60s special effects to today's special effects.

Nice C10. 25+ Years ago i took a 67 Ford F100 Ranger-352, 3 on the tree manual steering ,manual brakes. Used 3 other trucks and other vehicles to finally make one- 69 F250 Camper Special for H.D. 5 bolt suspension, Gauge package interior, under dash A.C. system. 71 F100 for the Power steering and coloum shifter, dual M.C & front disc brakes. The rear leafs out of an old "Iron side" 1 ton camper van and it's 4:10 gears. 390 and C6 trans out of a 1970 F250. Took said 390 and went and got a 67 Mercurys 410 crank shaft. Over bored the block, new rods and pistons. "14 bolt Mustang heads" basically making it into a 428 C.J. engine. Chrome front and rear thin bumpers, LOST all the mouldings. Painted it a Custom mixed Brandywine/Pinkish course metallic. Painting the cab/doors inside and out & the Aluminum grill putting in Chrome Cat eye's headlight covers. Tinted windows with add on chrome drip mouldings and rear slide window. 79 Mustang steering wheel and dual 67 Mustang Chrome side mirrors. After market Chrome tubular bed rails. Funny story. Horry County Police use to have the D.U.I check point under the "big bridge" on peachtree rd. Some police do not believe that a 67 truck came with out seat belts, day night rearview mirror, not even door locks! Use to have to carry a card in my wallet from the judge stating my truck confirmed to ALL 1967 laws pertaining to trucks. Lol

I absolutely LOVE this truck!! I know everyone has their own opinion of what's cool and what isn't......I love that you used Z parts to make what could have been, an actual factory truck. I love the wheels you swapped onto it but if she was mine, I'd keep the rally sports right where they were. As always, you produced an absolute work of art!! I may never find myself in the position to have a Foose vehicle built for me but, seeing that their out there and still rolling out of your shop, is a very close 2nd place. Thank you for sharing this work of art. :)

This is a REAL build! Most people on KZbin have a company put on a new wrap, have a company put on an exhaust, and have a company tune and put on a big wing. Boom, new build complete! NOT. Chip stretched steel chrome bumpers 14 inches. By hand! Cut and weld, smooth and re-chrome. That by itself would take longer than the standard KZbinr "build". Plus, he does it all, and doesn't pay someone else to then take credit. This kind of workmanship is going away. The younger generations just don't get it or aren't interested in hard work. It's become strictly a bolt on generation. Long live the fabricators!
