My dimmer, from speedway motors wiring kit, blew apart after 6 months of use. This was a informative video... with a funny overtone. Good watch

Nice video. Spent many an afternoon pulling stuff apart with my pops in the spirit of “not just saving money, but learning something” $1 box lots at the auction sure held a lot more valuable lessons.

I save all my old parts too, for whatever reason. If for nothing else, they'll serve as ballast in a wind storm. You know, keep the barn from blowing away. I've done exploratory surgery on starter solenoids, there's a nice spool of copper wire in them. Most times, the contacts just need a cleaning and a little dielectric grease . Keep'm coming!

Thanks! Yeah, you never know when you might just need a part of something to salvage too.

Thanks! I've been busy this fall, with grass drags, work, and other projects. Also got a new computer and been trying to use a different editing software, but I'm still not proficient with it.

Went on youtube looking for kill switch ideas and I remembered my dad using one of these under the carpet under the break pedal in his 1971 Monte Carlo. I don’t think it’s a typical location. Not a bad idea

Awesome. Wonder if this is why at times my high beams will work and other times it won't. Perhaps the internals are broken. Mine dimmer switch has 4 terminals. Yellow wire, lt grn wire, tan wire and a dk grn color. My car has the auto dimming which is what the 4 terminal is for (dk grn wire) time to take it apart and see.
