Foot drop? Try this AFO alternative!

Foot drop, anyone 🦶🏻?? This is one of my favorite ankle braces that was designed to help reduce drop foot.
👉🏼 It’s called the Dictus Band!
There’s 3 major pieces:
• ankle strap
• thick rubber band
• metal prongs
The prongs will fit in the islets of any sneakers 👟 and when it’s all put together, it helps lift your toes up, to reduce #footdrop 👊🏻

I purchased the saebo step brace a few years back. It has definitely helped me: it’s a little pricey but if it stops m from falling, it’s money well spent 👍🏽

Me too the string breaks unexpectedly while out in public then you have to hop back to your vehicle 😞 I like one called Ober it’s only $40 you can wear it barefoot no strings to break

thank you for posting these videos. i was diagnosed with MS before i should have, and then under went testing to try to prove my diagnosis. after a year it was inconclusive. i was instructed to proceed with more painful and expensive testing ‘if i felt it was necessary’ but i should come back if i experience ‘more’. after a lumbar puncture and other difficult procedures, i don’t know where to go. thank you so much for providing me with some information on how to continue to live 💕

I’m so sorry that you have had to have all those awful test and still nothing conclusive. When fibromyalgia was a “new” thing and I had no Idea why I hurt so much and all the other symptoms and every doctor would say “ u r fine” test are negative. How I hated hearing that. I feel for you. Stick with it as long as you have to. Or. As long as you can. You are the only one who can say when to stop.

I have not tried. Generally speaking, that would most likely depend on the individual's mobility level & severity of their foot drop.

Hi Amanda! I like this one because it’s way cheaper than an AFO but also because of the heavy elastic rubber bands… resulting in more assistance rather than preventing movement.

An AFO - or Ankle Foot Orthosis - is a device that can be worn to help lift the toes up when taking a step so that they clear the ground, helping to lessen the chance of trips, or falls. You can typically find this one on Amazon or eBay! Hope that helps!
