if a group of people managed to live peacefully during world war 2, they don't get to say "hitler was never bad, we never experienced anything bad from him therefore he must be really good", because on another particular country, one the largest mass geno*ides in all of history was occuring and men, women, and children, were being murdered for stupid reasons. If a group of people lived in an area far from Tacloban and was safe from all of its destruction, they don't get to say "Yolanda wasn't so bad" when thousands of people drowned to death or have lost their homes and loved ones because of the storm. Just because you and your family were fortunate enough to live in a "peaceful time" means the experience was the same for everybody. My parents lived in the ghettos during martial law and they told me stories of PC killing people they found outside at night just for fun. When you complain to the authorities about that, ikaw naman ang pupuntiryahin, or walang mangyayari sa case na kinomplain mo. You think its freedom dahil nakakapunta ka sa luneta, but all prisoners can do that within their prison. Its not actually freedom kung may makita kang mali sa gobyerno, o alam mong ginigipit ka ng gobyerno nang hindi mo naman kasalanan, wala kang karapatang magsalita. Atleast ngayon, you have the freedom to insult Cory and whoever is affiliated to them, at walang mangyayari sa inyo, not to mention the freedom to elect another Marcos.
