Dave is a titan bro, the difference between J and Dave is the subject matter. How many rappers have spoke on politics to the same degree Dave did on question time, or spoke on race relations like Dave did on Black, domestic abuse the same way he did on Lesley or the upbringing the same way he did on 19th birthday. Even emotion, I can't watch his black box without getting goosebumps from his emotion at the end. People like Lupe Fiasco, Akala and Low-key come to mind for the greatest lyricists of all time but the problem all of them had was marketability, their message went unheard because you had to research the tracks to understand them, Dave made his tracks sound good and still have a message.
