It's unfortunate that sponsorship, grassroot development and salaries are still a very complex situation. What is wrong with nigeria, what is wrong with us?. The head of the association never have their salaries withheld so do they hold back coaches and players' salaries?

Hiring Amunike is because NFF couldn't pay foreign coach? That's not good enough excuse. At the same time,glad we are now giving ours a shot. The ball is now in NFF court to do their part of the contract,i.e prompt payments of salaries,benefits etc to boost their morales.

It is as if the NFF has not learnt any lesson. The super eagles needs a highly experienced coach with proven track records. Handling the golden eaglets or Tanzania national team is not enough to qualify one for the super eagles job. The NFF and the sports minister are toying with Nigeria's chances of qualifying for both 2026 world cup and Afcon 2025. With the appointment of Amunuke as the super eagles coach, the stage is set for a repeat of what happened at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja when Augustine Eguavon lost the 2022 world cup ticket to Ghana. Bye-bye 2026 world cup and bye-bye AFCON 2025.

Personally, i do not see any Nigerian coach ripe enough to handle the supper eagles for now. An international coach job like the national team is not where you go an experiment, not at all. This is an arena where you have the best minds in coaching, you must be at your best to get desired results. I understand that Amunike hold a UEFA Pro License, where and how long has he worked with the license, what are his achievements, since after squiring his license? Except the NFF is saying bye bye to the world cup ticket and whatever happens at the next Afcon, they will stand behind the coach, let him learn, make his mistakes so as to build a formidable pattern of playing style for the Super Eagles, anything short of that, i give Amunike 5 months, if he does not grind the results as expected of him, this same NFF will definitely go back to the three shortlisted foreign candidates to pick a coach. What they would have done is get an experienced foreign coach Amunike can understudy say for four years or thereabouts that will eventually prepare him to take over. My biggest fear with Nigerian coaches is personality clash with our foreign based players, we need not just a coach but a true professional to manage these guys to avoid friction in camp, someone who can man manage the players not someone who is egoistic, (what do you want to prove, I've been there at the highest level). Sincerely, i wish him all the best as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

NFF must not settle with amuneke or be in rushed to give him the job what he called himself amuneke must be investigated first and foremost NFF mustn't do anything stupidly NFF must find out the alligation a Tanzania journalist said about this amuneke if possible NFF should appoint some people to go to Tanzanian to do proper checked investigation before anything
