definitely! This show is amazing and 2nd season will be a blast even better than first, you can't miss this one. You even said football is your favorite sport so try it out!

Blue Lock is more of a "death game" anime than a pure sports anime. Of course, it's based on soccer, so if you like soccer, you'll probably enjoy it.

Just to clarify, "death game" is a genre in anime and other media where several individuals are trapped in a specific location and must take on and compete in games presented by a host. It refers to works that feature battle royale-style challenges.

You deffo should react to it! The animation has gotten praise and critique. I didn't have any problems with it. It uses CGI at times, I like it, I know some don't. Blue Lock is pure hype, it deviates from your typical sports-anime. The music in this anime is extremely good. It's 24 episodes, also has a movie which is getting released digitially on September 1st I think. I don't wanna overhype hype it since I'm very biased. Goated anime 💙

There are a couple goofy camera shots but other than that the animation was more than fine. I think it's just manga readers expecting more or something for the most part

I think you should listen to the full versions of the openings. They win a lot with the parts that are not in the short versions

Blue lock is the type of sports anime where it's within realisticly possible, but all of it is so over the top. Like Kuroko no Basket.

blue lock is rlly fun to watch and ive read the manga and tve author of this was aots authors assistant and one of the characters is heard to be said as erens and mikasas child if they had one. the characters r also rlly cool and diverse i honestly cant wait for s2 of blue lock bc its such a fun and js overall cool anime and its my first sports anime i watched lol

Blue Lock (at least the part anime covers) is quite good. Some football fans have problems with the 'football' part of the series. It's more of a battle shonen with football skin really. My favourite football manga is Ao Ashi (which got anime adaptation that's decent, but went under a radar) and Giant Killing (which also got anime adaptation, but a terrible one lol). These series are more about 'proper' football with tactics, positions and things to say about the entire football industry (academy football and Youth development in Ao Ashi's case respectively Club management and fans in Giant Killing).

The animation is super good but in some shots that don't matter as much they do use cgi to lower the cost of animation and to be able to focus and make other important shots or animation even better so I don't really mind it

Season 2 hopefully should fix that issue. With the new arc, it'd be very disheartening to see cgi models for most of the season. Hopefully they had the budget and the time, I don't want to see the animators losing sleep for this

I know it's kinda hard to tell, but Chigiri (the one with pink hair) is a guy. If it's an anime with all guys, why would there be one random girl playing? No offense to you ofc, but he's my fav character 🤣 You should totally do a Blue Lock reaction tho! Out of all the anime's I've ever watched, this one hits hard, especially in it's creative and storytelling aspects. It's amazing, but instead of referring to it as a sports anime, I like to say it's a Shonen anime involving sports. It's got wild concepts that really take the whole "teamwork" bit out of perspective. The characters are very well designed and each have interesting and unique backstories and skills, with some shared abilities across multiple categories. There is one main girl that is part of the staff, and she's really cool so you'll like her. I really don't think you even have to be a soccer/football fan to enjoy this, so long as you appreciate constant peak with lots of added hype. Would definitely watch reactions! I recommend.
