Im the opposite, I’m on the dance team and we do cheers on the bleachers. And i just love basketball cause we’re closer together on the bleachers than on football bleachers. So there’s better communication and we just feel more tight knit. It’s also cause with a new team we just arent as close during football season compared to basketball.

@@Shakeitlikejelly i went to a charter k-8 school that was super small so we didnt have a football team (since we didnt have a field. the basketball cheer that we did was strictly for the boys team (cheer: 6-8th grade), so we only did stomp and shake cheer. meanwhile for the girls basketball team, the grades 2-5th were the ones cheering for them, and they also did stomp and shake cheer.

Personally, I think cheering for football is way more entertaining and fun! You get to do way more, it hypes you up, and it’s better being outside than inside. Basketball can be fun sometimes too though. I just prefer football

We have a cheer during time outs and stuff for our new gym and we go to the middle of the court and we All say “DRIBBLE IT!” And then clap twice “PASS IT!” Clap twice “TAKE IT TO THE BASKET!!” And after the the older cheerleaders repeat it as us JH//JV cheerleaders do the dance to it it’s rlly fun and cool!!❤

My cheer team does a similar cheer. On “dribble it” you hit your thighs three times, then clap twice, on “pass it” you push your hands forward, then clap twice. On “we want” we swing our hands to the side and clap twice, on “a basket” we pretend we’re shooting a basket ball
