If as a normal football player and not the eggball, I can say that in the preseason of a minor league we did pure cardio because you have to play two parts of 45 minutes in a row and only have a 15-minute break.

My honest opinion on both as someone who played both. Speed: Overall Soccer due to lineman. The fastest soccer players are similar to cornerbacks and the fastest receivers. Footwork: Soccer by far. Agility: Tied Strength/Power: American Football by far. I mean the object is to run through another man. Vertical: American Football due to DB's and WR's. The best WR and DB's can jump with basketball players. Conditioning: Soccer ×10. Not even close. Coordination: Soccer has the edge. The thing arrogant Americans don't realize is the USA is only 5 of the world population. 80% of the world's versions of Ja Morants, Tyreek Hill's, Lamar Jackson's are playing soccer. Soccer players are extremely athletic. There are a lot of dudes in soccer running 4.2/4.3 in the 40 as well.

The last challenge was all about technique. The 🏈 players started off inserting all of their energy while the ⚽ players basically got super low and dropped their weight. Then when the opportunity came, that's when they started basically bear crawling which is the best technique to use when doing that drill.

Soccer is heavily reliant on core strength rather than athletism alone. That's why most pro players started the game at 8-11yrs to build it which is physically hard. In football athletism can be built whenever that's why you see athletic players can start at 18-22 and still end up in the pro league. In soccer if you didn't start as a child, you can be good yes but forget about going pro.
