They are not “using the tournament for politics”, they react to political events taking place right now. And they are bloody right and fully entitled to do so. The message they are conveying - tolerance, anti-racism, fairness - is exactly the message that UEFA conveys, with perhaps a little less hypocrisy in the case of Mbappé.
