Was arguing with a casual that said we should sell Darwin. Sure he's wasteful sometimes but considering the amount of chances he gets compared to our wingers, and the amount of workload he's put in tracking back and bossing in pressing, I've always rated him. Not to mention he's played as a false-nine and not all and out striker like Haaland and Haaland have been useless this season without someone feeding him the ball.

There is no debate between Saka and Salah. There may be some day, but as of now, Salah is streets clear. Saka's best season thus far doesn't equal up to Salah's "worst" season at Liverpool. I like Saka alot and would have him at Anfield in a heartbeat, but he's simply not on Mo's level.

I'm not sure I agree. While Salah has been crazily consistent for a number of years, he is 32, almost ten years older than Saka. When Salah was at Chelsea, and a similar age to Saka, he did nothing. I can appreciate Salah as a player, but to say Saka isn't on his level, doesn't really make sense, because at 23, he clearly is.
@rvegas89998 күн бұрын
@@gentleken7864 also although its hard to compare national teams due to the style of play and team structure. Saka has been extremely consistent for England since his debut whereas Salahs performances fluctuate. I still think Salah is the better player and im an Arsenal fan.

@gentleken7864 Remember Dele Ali? He was once young and on fire as well. While I don't think Saka will follow that course at all, we still have to wait and see. If he's still doing this consistently in 10 years, I'll eat my words.

It feels like a parallel to Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors, whose Death Lineup that terrorized the NBA took inspiration from Pep's tiki taka style; revolutionary and unbeatable in hindsight from a new coach stepping onto the scene who worked the backrooms before, but now age has slown them down and the tactics to beat them are more commonplace. Warriors tried a rebuild and it's not been going well and Pep has never fully rebuilt any team he's ever coached yet.

The deep lying playmaker is probably the most rare player you can find on the market in this era, and that's why many teams chose the doble pivote. Man City shouls probably switch to a doble pivote system till the January transfer window
