Arteta has out coached all individual attacking brilliance out of every forward player at the club. Even Saka has lost some of his individuality and become more robotic and predictable, luckily his class is just that good, though I’m sure another manager who promotes attackers would get so much more out of him. Martinelli, Trossard, Jesus, etc…Arteta has done it to every player; turned them into predictable, flare-less, system generated and restricted robots who only know how to do what Arteta tells them to do, because that’s what he wants. Just watch, it’s gonna happen to Nwaneri too…he will coach out all of this kids individuality if he’s at the club much longer. It’s also why every previous youth team attacker who could’ve been the next guy up has left the club, because Arteta never gave them any chance and because they could probably see he doesn’t progress or even allow our forwards to get better.

Arteta manages like he played….i genuinely think because he was never a supremely talented star player who was very much system-oriented and relied on just keeping things moving, it seems as if he’s got an aversion to star players who can take a match in their hands and perform moments of magic on their own. It’s as if he’s not only employs a style of play that is solely possession based and sidewards or backwards just to keep things ticking, but moreso the players he selects and signs are strictly in his mold. He refuses to bring on players who are uniquely talented. Everyone is someone he can mold into what he wants, and he surely does NOT want any player to distinguish himself on their pitch. And it’s killing the team. Because the best teams have managers who not only have their systems, but they have star players who are allowed to express themselves on the pitch, even if it means the structure is broken for a single play. It’s what breaks teams down, it’s what opponents can’t account for, it’s what makes good teams exciting and frequently win matches they otherwise (as we’ve proved this year) would draw. This is Artetas ultimate team right here. A strong defense, midfielders who don’t have personality but will for the most part remain stout, and absolutely zero attacking flare. Anyone saying it’s not, all I’ve got to say is that he’s had 5+ years and almost a BILLION pounds to create his vision. He’s done that. And that’s why he needs to go. He’s maxed out until he fundamentally changes everything he believes in.

I remember saying the title is not ours after the transfer window closed. We needed a striker and a back up to Ødegaard and a winger to back up Saka. We all said this all summer. Instead we signed another full back when we already had 8 players who can play in that position at a push. A squad player in mid, a washed up Sterling who hasn't been at the races in 4 years and a back up keeper. We sold basically the entire bench, okay yes they were scubs but they weren't replaced. Now the injuries have proved the lack of depth we have. We don't have a squad. Insane to think there was people who thought the window was a success. "8 out of 10 transfer window". What a joke!

We're in January, and our longest winning streak is three games. There have been too many draws and too many clusters of bad results. We've had far too many draws, five of which have happened when we've been leading in games. So that's 10 dropped points from winning positions. It's not good enough. Then throw in the abysmal home draw against Everton and the 1-1 draw at Fulham and you have the reason why we are way behind Liverpool and are in a top-four race, not a title race.
