Dana you mentioned some good points, that's a lot more into it, and unfortunately avoiding some cosmetics might not really be enough to avoid exposure. PFAS are present everywhere, from the water you drink and the food you eat, to the clothes you use and the Teflon pan you cook. I'm a scientist and professor working on PFAS for some years and I appreciate you bringing some awareness. There is still a lot of people that know little to nothing despite the media coverage!

Just finished watching the video, and it's one of your best works! Very thoughtful, and really appreciate the detailed research and work that you put in. Also, the objective conclusions at the end, as well as the honest disclaimers are applauded. I hope more people learn how to give a detailed review of a study in a non-biased neutral way. Thanks again for posting!

Good video. PFAS is pretty concerning with the not leaving your body regularly like other toxins and the ability of us to keep building levels of it through time. Look up general plastics like water bottles as they break down inside us (which we all have) and their effects on human sterility and other bad stuff if you want to be more worried.

Goog information. Earlier this year 120 people won a several year long law suit against a municipal for extreme high level of PFAS in the drinking water. An higher amount of people than should have had some kind of cancer in that area. The PFAS came from the air force and municipal air port fire departments training ground where the PFAS was used in fire retardant foam which leaked in to the ground water and the drinking water in a small municipal i southern Sweden. We all need to get the word out on PFAS and other harmful chemicals that is used in out products that we put in and on us.

Is it still bothering you? If so, perhaps you should seek medical attention from your local healthcare professional? Dr. Dana, is more than qualified to treat this ailment. However, she is unable to make a diagnosis or provide personal healthcare advice over the internet. She is unable to establish a doctor-patient relationship. Especially since she cannot complete a thorough history and physical exam while maintaining a level of confidentiality of your healthcare information. Please know, she is not ignoring you, or choosing not to care for you… this is for your safety and frankly, hers as well. There’s a reason medical providers on a public forum are not able to make personal diagnosis’s, offer personalized healthcare advice, or prescribe any type of medication over their platform. I hope you start to feel better soon. All the best!
@user-od1fm3hs9c3 жыл бұрын
You have a pool of blood under your nail, this will be putting pressure on your nail and it will be extremely painful. The pressure may have made the nail loose. You could pierce a hole in your nail with a sterilised needle and let the blood drain out. This will reduce the pressure and it will feel a lot better. Unfortunately, you risk introducing infection if this is not done in a sterile way. Personally, I would leave it alone. Pad it out at night if it helps you sleep. Don't wear socks or tight shoes. Wear open toed sandles or flip flops if you can. Let nature take its course. It will heal but it may take many weeks before this happens.
