The lightstrike is most likely "Lightstrike 2.0" which is meant to be softer / more shock absorbing than the brick like properties of OG lightstrike. This is pretty well chronicled when we looked at the running shoes comparing SL vs Boston 12 vs SL2 (hence why a Boston or SL2 teardown would be pretty cool).
@CaCqeqq3 ай бұрын
Been a Spida fan for a while and I am glad they finally gave him a good shoe performance-wise.
@AddOnKicks4 ай бұрын
I can't believe they didn't put a whole slab of Pro in the forefoot, it's such a great foam and I've been dying to see it used in the hoops space. Why not just cage it full-length like Li-Ning/WOW do with Boom? 🤦♂️
@njY2K4 ай бұрын
Definitely for production cost. This would also be so they can clearly distinguish budget levels for each of their basketball offerings between these, the Harden 8s and the AE1s. Adidas wouldn't want any of their products to cannibalize each other in terms of sales.
@GKgoalkeeping4 ай бұрын
I’d say the first time we see full lightstrike pro will be on an AE/ Harden shoe, the dons are their more budget line of signatures
@Chicago_Jayhawk4 ай бұрын
Yeah Lightstrike Pro full-length is amazing. The Takumi Sen is the best running shoe I've ever run in--it's like a Ferrari. But as mentioned, it would increase the cost probably $30-$40--they probably want to have different price points otherwise every model should have Lightstrike Pro.

Love your reviews! Appreciate the grind Doc....Personally I didn't feel much on the forefoot... it was as if there's a plastic plate or near zero thickness foam underneath....like a chuck taylor.... Adidas is such a mystery.... they make crazy soft foam material for discount granny shoes like MaxxCetus....but for premium hoop shoes...they are always lackluster on the forefoot cushioning.

Are you open to suggestions? I think it would be interesting if you make a review on game-worn shoes. To see what are the differences (if any) of market version and player exclusive basketball shoes. Its like what you did on that one kyrie shoe video ☺️

Can i say this shoes is good for knee, hip, back pain since it has a very good shock absorption capability? I guess the outsole tread can be good for outdoor courts?
@atbcyburst65428 күн бұрын
I just got a pair but havent played in them yet. every review is telling me that its a shoe better for the crowd with a little more knee pain with the amount of shock absorption. I'm not much of a jumper anymore but the cushion feels nicer. for reference I've been playing with the lebron 21s and they don't give as much impact protection as I wanted them too, especially with the cushion they have.

Hey doc, huge fan of your videos where you construct a shoe of parts that could help it better. How would you feel on a midsole construction? I am interested in a GT CUT 3 with a carbon fiber shank, or a bouncy shoe like a wow 10 with zoom air in the forefoot. Im sure many of us think of a perfect shoe by combining other parts of the best from brands such as nike or adidas. Im sure many are curious also. Thanks doc for the video too
