I’m actually in love with the fuelcell foam! It is a firmer, responsive foam, which becomes softer with usage. My NB Rebel is a go to when i want to practice speed in my runs.

Fuel cell is such an interesting foam to me cause it really gets better with time. My Kawhi 1s and TWO Wxys felt rock hard and even hurt my arches, but now they feel amazing, like I’m playing barefoot in a good way

I know that they came out soon after, but please consider reviewing the two wxy v3. In particular the windy city Zack lavine model (black/red 3:37) appears to have a full length plate that can be seen through the translucent outsole. A midsole teardown would be very interesting!

Laughed (and cried) when you said calcaneal tubercle.. Sadly I chose the wrong DPM for a heel slide and he not only slid it medially instead of laterally, he allowed the posterior heel to slide up off the ground over 3/4" and promptly threw 2 arthrex screws in to seal the deal (which protruded out of the bone). 6 months later, a new surgeon released the entire plantar fascia and the next superior layer of muscle to accommodate a bone contouring procedure which removed my tubercle. I miss the heel and my tubercle! Lol Pick your surgeon, and then your shoe wisely folks.

Another excellent review! It’s interesting that you recommend these for bigs more than wings and guards. Going off looks alone that look like good shoes for the latter but I understand your reasons for why they work well for bigs. If you were to do a vs video, I’d be interested in a comparison between these and the PG 6s!

I fit great into the wide sizes for the Two Wxy 1 and Omn1s, but I can't make the Kawhi 1 or 2 work because they are just too narrow. I have been playing in the Harden Vol 6 and Dame 8 because they are wide enough for me, but I tend to strain my ankles with certain moves with the Hardens and the Dames seem like the impact protection is too low for me. I wish they would release the Two Wxy 2 and Kawhi 2 in wide sizes. I loved the more rigid uppers and rigid base of the Two Wxy 1 and feel like the Kawhi 2 shares that.

Also, could you make a video that speaks to a high stack's affect on joints vs affect on muscles? I've heard (and read) that high stack heights affect joints more than low stack/ less cushion. I have a flat and wide foot and your assessment was pretty spot on. I went TTS and after about 30 minutes of playing my arches and forefoot were aching a bit. I’ll have to try them out with a set of move game day insoles

@@wadewilson3296 they still give me arch pains after about 30 minutes even with the move game day insoles. I either wear these casually or for a light hooping session (mainly just shooting drills) with no insoles. There are better shoes for wide feet out like the Dame 8, WoW 10, Lebron 2, etc.

Hey Zach, what makes a shoe good for Achilles tendinitis? Is it arch support, good cushion, etc?

The best solution is: 1. mobilization of calcaneus, moving the foot into pronation with wedges (search gary ward’s work). 2. Isometric exercises for soleus muscle /achilles tendon & gastrocnemius muscles - 3-5x 45-60s holds (every day, every 6-8 hours). Do it in the range of motion (degrees of flexion in the ankle) that is comfortable & not painful. 3. Then progress into SLOW STRENGTH TRAINING (6s or more in eccentric phase & also slow moving in concentric phase of the movement). 4. Gradually re-introduce low 2-foot hops, jump rope, etc., then running at slower speed. Start slowly and with less volume, then add more jumps and total running time as weeks progress. Add more forceful jumping variants and single leg variants as you progress. Increase speed of your run every 2-3 weeks for 1-2m/s. First add volume, then intensity. Good luck

I just received mine and played for an hour in them. I got them true to size and in normal width. They do hurt a bit on the outside of my mid foot. Do you think I just have to break them in or should I go up a size or buy them in wide?

The shape is meant for the motion of the sport they're used in- very few anatomical shoes could work for side to side sports

I really want to start volleyball… I’m not an expert but I think basketball shoes and particularly those are great for volley , basketball and volleyball share a lot of similarities on shoes need I think … I heard that some volleyball player think that the Kobe 6 is goated for both sport and I have seen a lot of volleyball players wearing hyperdunks … so I think two way 2 are adequate
