Excellent review. Thanks. I would prefer the laced edition too. Cheers.

Had my eye on the dual Boa until you said that about the shoes from the 80/90s. Plimies!!

How do these compare to Adidas 360 Tour ? I have 3 pairs of them (2017-2019) and 1 pair of the 2022 model. I wear orthotics specifically custom molded (casted for my feet) by my orthopedist. I remove the inner liners and slip in my orthotics in all my shoes not just golf. I have very flat feet but my orthotics correct that. 9.5 Medium, I have narrow feet. These Alphas sound like their better for wider feet.

Hi Stephen - they most certainly are better for wider feet in my opinion. It would be worth trying them on and seeing the size and fit from there would be my honest assessment.

@@davidpaingolf7748 I don’t wear a wide shoe. I wear a D medium shoe and since I posted this 3 weeks ago I ordered a pair of Tour Alphas directly from FootJoy since I wanted all black and couldn’t find them anywhere. These are better than Adidas’s latest version of boost which i have a pair No need to remove the insole to fit ny custom orthotics either. The base is so solid especially the heel. Extremely stable. Love these

Also chose the laced version today. Reason is the look (indeed boa edition gives flashback to the velcro shoes from long ago😅) but also the fact I had the boa version of Tour X and it suddenly broke down on hole 2 (after 3-4 rounds) and than your round is finished because it cannot be fixed on course which is possible when unexpected a shoe lace should brake. Maybe bad luck but after that my trust in the boa system was gone and back to laces.
@tracknature89142 жыл бұрын
That concerns me because I been using Footjoy D.N.A without any issues for several seasons. I would like to know if this is a common problem or if you just had bad luck before I make my choice :/

@@tracknature8914 I had DNA shoes with boa without problems and that’s why I decided to choose TourX with BOA but the system has changed because the “holders” are now plastic and maybe that was the reason the system broke down because it was at a plastic “holder” the system broke. Could have been a Monday morning sample but since that experience I changed back to laces for my shoes on the course.

@@Raymond-sj7cn Yeah I heard that they have put stretchy lace on the end of it in the new Boa system instead of the robust wire as it was on the DNA. I think everyone will eventually have the same issue that you got and for example on a vacation it will be very disturbing ... I am very thankful that you told me this because I decided to also choose regular Footjoy Tour Alpha with normal lace. Super-duper happy with the shoes now I can swing my driver full commitment. So now I can tell my friends on the tee "See you guys on the green" ;D

@@tracknature8914 same here.👍🏽 Still love my tour alpha shoes despite the fact at the moment I wear pro sl because of the rock hard dry ground. But when the ground softens up...Tour Alpha (with laces 😉) it is

bro...put the shoes on. The double boa is so much better. It 100% improves the fit and feel.

Agree on the fit and feel. I played 9 holes with them. It’s purely the look I’m not a fan of.

How’s the sizing are they true to size or fit size bigger or smaller
@davidpaingolf77482 жыл бұрын
Like most FootJoy’s they come up slightly bigger for me. Half a size down is what I go for.

@@davidpaingolf7748 Agreed, I wear a half size down in FootJoy shoes as well.
