Yes the first chord is minor F#7 flat five. I tried this morning D7- Dflatseven and it really works and you're right that its easier for most to deal with! (no hard feelings anyway, this lesson is fine!)

Yes, Lydian dominant is Lydian with a flatted 7. It's the fourth mode of the melodic minor.

I think the changes are actually F#min7(b5)-F7#11-E7(alt)-A7(alt) but I've heard it played different ways including with the D7-Db7. I like both ways actually but I think that the D7-Db7 is easier for most people to deal with and it doesn't subtract from the song in anyway.

Awesome video! Can you tell me, please, how do you do this kind of scott henderson’s fusion tone? I have your fantastic books. I am looking for books that teach this kind of phrasing and tone, but i did’t find no one. Can you indicate me? I learnt the theory. But doesn’t sound cool when i apply this concepts. There are an infinite number of books about bebop phrasing, but not even one (good) about fusion phrasing, fusion legato etc. Thank you!

I’m pretty sure the bridge is a Duncan JB and the neck pickup is a Duncan PAF (or whatever the equivalent is).
