The difference is zimmer is not going to play so conservative. He will include a number of blitz packages to fit the scheme players have been flourishing in. Dan quin has a good scheme he gets very greedy at times.

Strong side (sam) usually plays where the tight end is. Closer to the line of scrimmage. Run stopper. Weak side (Will) plays the more run and tackle style. Kind of like another middle linebacker but with less responsibility.
