If you're old enough it's Jezza, how many elite midfielders went to full forward and kicked over a 100 goals in a season for a lark?

Fun Fact about Kernahan, If you include his South Australian Career, the Bloke went on to kick 1004 goals and played 367 games combined... that's phenomenal. Id say Sticks was Carltons 2nd best all time player, behind Nicholls at 1 and SoS at 3.

Geoff Southby was a pretty handy fullback. What about the 1972 Grand Final? 28 goals 9 behinds 177 points. I think it was this particular Grand Final where Percy rucked all day. "Big Nick" left himself in the Forward Pocket all day and kicked 6 goals. 2062 games? Try 2602.

@markuswilmes3694 you cannot be robbed of a brownlow, it's a flawed voting system. The 3rd ranked player could have just as much influence as the 1st ranked player but receives only 1/3 of the votes. In 1976 Leigh Matthews averaged 28 disposals a game & kicked 91 goals.. didn't win the brownlow. How is that possible

I’d go with Patrick Cripps his 2 year stretch from 2018 to 2019 was one of the best players I’ve ever seen while carrying a terrible supporting cast which cost him getting a Brownlow and then he won the Brownlow a couple of years ago easily one of the best contested footy players ever and a great captain it’s a shame Carlton wasted his prime

Carlton arent my team but as a kid I remember they were always playing in Grand Finals and seemed to be winning them. They had so many good players over the years, the 1979 -1982 Mosquito Fleet comes to mind. The media rated Wayne Carey the best player of all time, (depending on which poll you read) but Kernahan kicked more goals in fewer games than Wayne... When it comes to centre half forwards there havent been many better than the big Blue. So he would probably be my pick. A lot of people would pick Jezza, hard to argue with that as well. ; ]

Jezza had skills defenders could only dream of. And Hunter might’ve been even better. Just thinking about it now, there are things Jezza could do that very few that have played the game could- just those baulks and taps and the things very few other's would even consider. This is why D Jarman is ten times the player Ricciuto was.
