Ben requires support not sensational interviews for public display. In my opinion, the addiction is not the drug, it is an attachment to a past issue, with a person or event. He like many others, can be assisted if they absolutely want it!! No blame.

too true! I have never been a fan of Ben Cousins yet understand his addiction issues are very deep seated and that he needs serious help and that will only happen when he is willing to seek it. I agree that channel 7 shouldn't have aired the doctromentry of Ben Cousin even the tile was wrong Coming Clean. Ben isn't a fallen hero. He was a good footballer he did win a Brownlow Medal yes he did win a premiship. That's it. At 24 he choose drugs over football. He let the WCE down he let his Coach down he let his team down he let the club down. He put the WA foot ball into a drug fuel state. Yet people still put him on a pedistall. He is a drug addict who has had all the chances to help him turn his life around. Yet he has turned down all the help. He only agreed to do this for drug money. His father was asked to do this doctromentry with Basil. He couldn't he is to hurt to talk about his son. Ben family should be the ones put on a pedistall. Ben's father was there for Ben, when he went off the rail. Ben father watched his son go to prison twice. Ben's family gave him support he needed. Ben has no intentions of turning his life around. He spoke very fondly of his Son on camera. But where is the son father? Walking the streets looking for hand outs it's Ben's family & his Children I feel sorry for, Ben had a place to call home Ben had a place to put his head on a pillow. He declined. Ben is happy being on the street. Ben doesn't want a decent job. Ben is happy sleeping in a park with his addict mates. Ben is happy being a drug addict. So please for the sake of WCE football club leave Ben alone. For the football in W.A. leave Ben alone. He brought the game of foot into disarray. He is no hero. He is an absolute disgrace. He needs now to be left alone.
