For $200 You Cant Go Wrong - Vintage Olympus OM-1 35mm SLR Film Camera Fun!

I love shooting film with beauty old vintage cameras and lenses!
I have been hunting for an Olympus OM-1 film camera for a while now and picked this awesome kit up a few months ago for $200. The kit was a forensic cops personal camera and the kit came with a black OM-1, 3 lenses, tripod, camera bag and a ton of accessories!
Lets take a look at what I got for $200 and also look at the classic Olympus OM-1 and why I think its GREAT! 👍

WOW!!! This was so fun to watch, talk about major walk down memory lane for me! My first camera was an OM-2, back in I want to say 1976-77 timeframe...it was $400 bucks (which was a lot of money back then!). Took that camera on hikes in the High Sierra backcountry through a summer in Yellowstone and GT Parks in 1980. I totally forgot about the interchangeable "focusing screens". I had a vivitar zoom, I can't recall the range though, and a 28 mm soligor wide angle and the 50 mm that came with the OM-2. I've said it before and will say it again...OM cameras were truly REVOLUTIONARY and IMO, unmatched by other camera brands when they came out. The size factor alone (as you so perfectly showed in your video) was a major home run. Thanks for doing this video Jimmy, it brought back a ton of memories, many of which I had completely forgotten. I bought an OM-1 (OM Systems) camera over Xmas...(Yeah...I know it's digital...), along with 8-25 mm, 12-40 mm and 12-100 PRO lenses, it's been a fun camera to play around with it's computational features, but I know it will never replace the tried and true - TRUE OM cameras of yesteryear!

I forgot to mention, the OM-2 featured what was called OTF - Off The Film, metering, which if I recall correctly, if the light literally changed at the moment the mirror flipped up and exposing the film, it had the ability to adjust the aperture or shutter speed instantanously...it was definitely cutting edge at the time.
