Very nice bird, you must be proud. I like him, he is so awesome hehe How did you train him not to get away if you put it on sun without harness? Did you cut his feathers? Is there any possibility to teach him to stay with you without cutting his feathers or without using "harness"? How to get this trust into him? Thank you for any kind of answer. Mine is green with blue tail (5months old) and now it's getting used to me but I fear of him getting away from my balcony so I use harness to put him on a sunshine a little every day, otherwise he is always let lose free in the apartment and also sleeps on me waiting to be peted on head :)

Yes, I clip his wings. Yes you will need to or use the harness. If not you will risk the chance of him getting away if something spooks or startles him.

I'd be Terrified that mine (Quaker parrots) would fly away and it would take me days to get them bk! My parakeet already flew the coop after being startled but I didn't give up calling his name and he flew bk towards me, under the neighbor's house but good enough! That was sheer luck, IMO!
