I'd never heard of Roy Khan before hearing Dan's cover of this song. Looked him up and have mad respect for the man. He walked away from everything just like Steve Perry did and for similar reasons of burnout and it's affect on his personal health, etc. The effect on his ability to be a good husband and father played an important part in his decision, too. Khan not only was open about his faith, he made it priority to the point of becoming a church counselor and youth leader at his church after leaving Kamelot. He healed his life, got priorities straight, and then considered resuming a career in music. Quite impressive in this day of putting fame & fortune over faith & family. Makes me even more interested in his music.

It’s kind of neat that I found this today. In the Catholic Church today is the Feast of Divine Mercy. Such a gift from God Himself. We can only hope, pray and believe because as sinners we don’t deserve it but as repentant people He freely gifts us with it. God is so good.
