Still my favourite Lizzy lineup and album. I first saw them in 1973 (Penzance) and Eric was just awesome. I saw them with Gary Moore too after Eric left. What a great guy Eric is to chat to :-)

It's been so good to here these stories from Eric. It's strange to think that I played with him on an Irish tour a few years later, playing Whiskey in the Jar, never knowing such a colourful history. I would love to meet Eric again as he is such a nice guy.

Wonderful interview (Thanks Eric) with a hero of mine. Eric's too modest and he can hold his head up high for his contribution to Thin Lizzy. The Rocker that closes this part of the interview is one of the most feral guitar tracks ever recorded and still Thin Lizzy's finest hour in my opinion.

This is awesome! In 2014 I sent Eric a video of me playing"vagabond of the western world" on my electric guitar and he actually watched it and liked it. That was very exciting. I remember he said he liked his solo in "Brought Down" and "Eire" was one of his favorite songs

He will never be in a "top 100" list but he is great. those first 3 albums are full of quirky guitar stuff that the (classic?) albums would never have. that's not a knock on all the fantastic guitarists what would grace the band, but this guy was the most unique in my opinion.

OMG!!! BRILLIANT interview. I have never seen Eric Bell so animated, articulate and honest. The only complaint I have is that, despite its length, it seemed too short - he seemed to be about to share some more (albeit very personal) aspects of his life when , to my horror, the credits began to roll. Please let there be a "Part 2" 🙏🙏
