My great grandad was awarded the ww2 MM. when I found it I was amazed at his story. One of the medals which started my love for militaria of ww1 and 2. Especially named medals. Lovely video. 👍🏻

Major Wilson, OC 21st Independent Company, was also known as ‘Boy’. He was probably the oldest man in the 1st Airborne Division at Arnhem.

John Roy: No need for that sort of talk. Americans and other Allies, also lost their lives or were wounded in the war. It is disrespectful to disparage those other Allies in such a manner. You should feel ashamed.

@@StevenKeery should I..? So what about the OTHER 4 BEACHHEADS that WERE INCLUDED in the D-Day landings (Gold, Juno, Sword & Utah)....we never hear about the soldiers that have their lives on those beaches....always the "GLORY HUNTERS" of Omaha.... Don't get me started my friend...
