what would happen if all their baselines were the same and did not overlap into the intervention phase? how would you be able to have a multiple baseline design? or is that very unlikely?
@PsychCore5 жыл бұрын
Well by definition for it to be a multiple baseline design you HAVE to overlap them. If you don’t then you have just AB designs which have absolutely zero experimental control. These don’t happen by accident. They are specifically planned and the procedures must be followed accurately in order to establish experimental control and as a result the ability to demonstrate functional relations (I.e., cause and effect). When we don’t do that our science becomes bad science and we don’t have quality studies.

Oh I get it!! You prolong the baseline specifically in order to be able to compare. Correct?
